"Space suits? Is that a good idea? Gah! It's going to be Arrow Minor all over again isn't it? Not good for my claustrophbia"

[Loiosh]: *detaching from the suit*

[Razor]: "Yes, that's exactly what they are for. You're quite correct Doctor. Not to worry, these things are more of a giant-robotic and motorized shell of a thing. You sit or stand in a room that is the cockpit, and the controls are designed to be fairly ergonomic with its operator's hands and feet, more or less. You've got an interface thing to type stuff down and it can mimick your movements by quick-rate scanning you at a rapid rate for a particular task even if you'd rather. The scanning doesn't hurt a bit. It's done with a particular kind of waves. They've already been preset to include a lot of the basic stuff through this means.

They had to abandon the cybernetic link phase of the project due to... unpleasant complications. Little psychologically jarring to have the suit get damaged while your mind is connected to its controls for steering and so on, if you forget that you are you, and that it is it."

*gulps and then quickly continues*
"I've practiced on things like these a good long while, you get used to it over time. Good for salvaging sometimes, exploring an asterioid or even larger than person to person scale (but still one on one) sword deuling and stuff."

*Shrugs*

"Void and I used to fight each other in these quite oftentimes. When he feels better you can ask him about it. I do hope you all manage to come to, well... if not to like these, then at least to figure out how to use one. I'll be there to help if you run into some trouble."

[Loiosh]: *puts on a eye patch he made while Razor was talking*

[Razor]: "The dragon shaped ones have controls to take in to account wings and the tail, & the neck also. Anole, yours has been repaired and adjusted. Er,- recalibrated to take into account your strength and so on, as the last one it seems was not. Loiosh, I can construct you one that is based off of Anole's; now that the first one has been completed it will be easier to build a second one. Can fit to certain specifications too. Over the years a fairly large parts and equipment inventory has been built up... er, decent sized. You can look at it on one of the computers in the area next to the maintainance bay."

[Razor]: (To Anole) : "Eh-heh..."

[Loiosh]: *makes a short link with the computer*

[Razor]: (To Loiosh) : <<<Okay, that sounds fine & good. You know where the parts inventory list is. A few of the repair/assembly bots might sound a little scrambled,... but I think most of them, the majority (enough I hope? }Ulp!{) know what they are doing still.>>>

(To Anole) : "His type is a kind that can plug into machinery, for system maintainance and probly also superb mechanics I might suspect. er,- can be."
*shrug*

"I've never met one before until now. Between that and the virtual/physical space-mix up on the ship just now, lots of things will seem similar to how they were, but(/except) different. I suspect."

[Razor]: "There are some different materials to choose from. I scrabbled togethwer a certain amount of high-impact resistant composites from off of wrecks and there is living metal too that there is to work with" *shrug*

[Loiosh]: <<>>

[Loiosh] *leaves for the central cargo computer*

[Anole]: <<>>

[Razor]: *Grins an alien-looking grin*
"I look forward to this new challenge and the test presented by this new task. Mecha for dragons. Loiosh, could you do me a favor and tinker a bit to finetune some of the stuff on Anole's? Er, if that is alright with him, that is."

(To Anole) : "My best estimates were probably guesses crude at best. He may be able to get it to work much better for you than I could. I mean, you know, somebody else who has wings and a tail and stuff would probably have a better idea of where to position the relevant reference points for controls to take into account that and so on."

*Shrugs*

[Razor]: "Anole, I believe that what he says is that he will make the mecha I have constructed to fit and for a dragon-pilot to work better. He's gonna make one for himself and probably adjust some of the piloting OS so that it works better for you guys."
