I've been thinking about this a bit.

When I was married I viewed myself as definitely being unavailable, and I did not take much interest in other men. Partly this was that I actually wasn't interested, though sometimes it was a deliberate damping down of my true reaction.

Since my marriage ended, I have felt far freer to respond in any way I like, and that includes in a sexual or sexy way. I am exploring all those tempting areas that are neither nothing nor everything, but something in between.

In short, flirting makes me feel sexy.

Buying cloth. I have disturbing hyphepheliac tendencies (cloth-loving, a word you can use that doesn't sound too dodgy). I love just a crisp new sheet of a gorgeous fabric like velvet, satin, lace etc. Less so with clothing. It's like a PVC/leather fetish, etc. but much more general.

Having dipped into a book called "Why men never listen and women can't read maps" I guess that in general, what makes a woman feel sexy is more likely to be something to do with the head and what makes men feel more sexy is almost certain to be something to do with the groin area.

Yes, that is DEFINITELY one of the things that makes me feel sexy, darlin'. As well as memories of the times when you were writing the poems for M.T. I was in a state of constant arousal then.

Oh, yes, MoG, the purring and the thunder! I listen for them, and when I raise my head just right, I hear them, but I don't just hear them, I feel them, and I hope that you will let me help you hear them and feel them, too! It is a moving experience!

probably stating the obvious: being touched and desired by a man makes me feel sexy.

Extreme forces of nature: big displays of water, electric storms. I was trapped (trapped, no less!) up at the top of Glastonbury Tor with my significant other during a big ferocious lightning-fest, and I was holding a copper lantern I'd bought for my mum's birthday. I have never, ever been so sopping.
Maybe it stems from this, although I wouldn't like to repeat the experience. (And no, we didn't 'get anything done').

But I was wondering how you women react if a guy is looking at you like he desires you or whatever you wanna call it. Do you think "Pig!" or "Hey, he likes me"?

When I was fourteen and severely lacking in confidence, it made me feel sexy. Not only were men looking like that, they were whistling and yelling "hey babe!" and other cute come-ons. Since then, society has taught me to walk on by, with my head held high, and pretend I don't notice them. But society hasn't quite succeeded in inhibiting that tiny core of essence that thinks "oh, wow, someone's whistling at me!"

We weren't the tallest thing around- there was the tower itself. And it was a small lantern. But still, quite exhilerating.
As for how we feel, it depends on the man. If he's someone you'd want to be looking at you that way, then I'd be flattered and might respond. Otherwise you make a sarcastic remark, or ignore it.

Well, let´s assume he isn´t drunk and unhygenic. How about that?

Is he attractive? Is he a friend, or someone we get on with? We tend to be selective.

I don't know about the other women out there, but I know that *I* tend to respond very differently to the hoots/whistles/catcalls of men when I am walking by myself than when I am with friends. When I'm walking alone, I'm more likely to perceive it as threatening or annoying. When I'm walking with friends, I'm more likely to perceive it as gratifying or funny.

I had a lovely net friend who used to make me feel like sex on a stick whenever we spoke. Which was quite a lot and at length. No one has ever made me feel quite as much of a goddess as him.

Unfortunately we had a blazing row on ICQ last week which lasted for several hours and we haven't spoken since. Nor are likely too i reckon. Which is sad cos I miss him a lot.
