well, is it okay if I meet two of the three conditions? synaesthesia is an interesting subject, role-playing is an important hobby, but unfortunately (?) I don't wear corsets, ever... I was wondering : are these a modern kind of corsets?.. 'cos I can easily imagine the old type being a bit uncomfortable after a while (thinking about the ability to breath deeply in and out and stuff like that)...

But to react to the 'original' question : feeling sexy depends on a lot of factors for me, like : feeling generally okay (physically, not being very tired or ill, etc), dressing the right way (which can be a lot of different things, but never anything that puts attention to parts of your body you *don't* want to draw the attention to!), being with the right people, etc. Sometimes you can just feel sexy for no reason at all, but mostly it's linked to one or more of the above mentioned factors. For me it is, anyway!

That sounds like an interesting get together. But I sadly don´t meet any of the criterias. The only time I´ve done roleplaying was when my gf dragged me off to Fastaval.

With people in general I did not mean that it was everybody, just a lot of people. And a lot of people think DiCaprio is good-looking.

And about what others feel, I have also been mocked all my life. So I know what it´s like. But I just feel that you can´t be all that good if nobody likes you.

The little difference between the sexes is probably in their definition of the expression "to feel sexy". Men probably don't care what they look like if they feel randy, for example. You have to take them as they are.

Most of the postings by females here have referred to external things, as well as what's going on in their head. It is improbable, for example, that a fella will jump in the shower and put on a clean shirt if he feels what he would call "sexy". That would more likely dampen his passion.

So we have to sort out the definitions. Or shall we just leave it at being different?

There's no way of determining 'people in general' usually, this is taken to mean a representative sample of the population. And if the average level of 'beauty' is anything to go by, there are a lot of un-beautiful people being appreciated in their own way.
Besides, people in general depends on where you are in the world. A lot of people may find Funny Face LDC attractive, but not everyone does; I think you'll find it's about a half-half split. And if he and, for example, Liz Hurley (ugh) were transported to somewhere where the female ideal is still to be quite fat, they'd fail miserably.
Surely if you've encountered such adversity, it would only increase your personal strength. Mocking isn't the same as being disregarded by everyone on a daily basis. Put succintly, I wasn't sexy at school, because no one found me so and I was very depressed and had little self-esteem. But I never, NEVER thought they had a point, because I could see they were stupid and narrow-minded. Now I ignore them, and I'm sexy as hell.
I'd love to meet up with sexy corseted synaesthetic role-players. And yes, there are modern corsets- although the old ones weren't really that bad. They were done to extremes, but no more so than today's bras for silicone-enhanced women (which I'm sure are very uncomfortable, and you have to keep them on at night). But you can breathe- it just gets shoved around a bit, and you certainly can move freely. (Speaking as someone who's done a physical theatre workshop whilst encased in steel.)

My friend (she's not here, I'm sure, or she would have used this thread for sure) has a 'magic button' somewhere on her body that causes an interesting reaction, to say the least. Unsurprisingly, she tells no one but her boyfriends (and only then when she trusts them.) She says you can't discover it by accident as there's a method of pressing to make it work. However, comedy situations have resulted entirely by accident (in a mosh pit, for instance- although she doesn't think anyone noticed that time.)
