*...a small diamond-plate cover on the control-box slides noiselessly (well...<42db) open.*
*a hand emerges from the control box, holding a small jewellers screwdriver. Pierced by the screwdriver is a business card, on which, the following note is writ:
"Harry, it would be highly appreciated by yours truly if you would desist from kicking the control box whilst i am making the necessary adjustments...thankyou so much."

The backLOG is easier to deal with than the backWASH when the Pelican gets excited and starts flapping.
If Alec enters the hot tub I am worried that his residual electro-motive force from his constant exposure to electrical systems may cause discomfort to the other occupants and upset the temperature control system.

*Climbs the rigging. Stands on the Pelican's Nest and inspects the newly equipped hot tub.*
Hi guys! I see that you have everything shipshape!

Hello Mari Rae. is this a quick visit or are you back?

hi mari-rae...
we're still in Hobart harbour, but are about to set sail on an epic voyage to The Marquesas

Still in Hobart, eh? There must be more here than meets the eye... although the gardens are amazingly beautiful. Wonder if we will sail east or west to get to the Marquesas? If we go west we can call in at Fremantle, my old stomping grounds. In the meantime, let's have something to eat and then we can test out the hot tub.
*Dials up party nibbles from the dumb waiter and sets them out along with drinks.*
Help yourselves!

The reason we are still in port as far as I understand it is that kes set the ship on autopilot and nobody wanted to mess with it to set a destination. So the senior officers talked about time travel and
Flying dutchmen and I suggested stealing the Americas trophy but nobody cared for that idea so now maybe alec will convince the Captain and we can go to the Marquesas.

shagbark watches the harbour fade into the distance.
He checks his calendar. Hey it's Autumn in the Southern Hemisphere.
He opens the to celebrate.

I hate to be one to abandon my duties aboard ship for trivial matters but for some reason it is taking forever to load any of the pages!!!! I have had to resort to a text only version of the web site that simply takes all the fun out of it. And even so it has taken me over 5 minutes to post this message. I will keep checking back but I'm afraid you will see very little of me for the next few days until whatever sticky server gets unstuck.

*Whacks Archibald (Harry) Tuttle upside the head with a bag of and looks at him anxiously to see if that helped at all with his redundancy problem.*

Ahh... Thank you so much Marie-rae. I was stuck in an text only, Betsie error induced, redundancy circle of repetion. (Oh dear looks like I'm still dealing with left over redundancy in my language). Although I received the rather odd Betsie error page every time I attempeted to post here it apears my message was posted after all. I must say that I found very little to recommend in the text version of this site.
At any rate I have switched to plain version from Brunel and perhaps things will flow a little smoother from now on though I am told by the technical people that the slow down is cause by heavy traffic on the BBC site due to the unpleasantness in the middle east.

It is curious that the problems harry is referring to have not hampered my computer in the least. Maybe it only affects servers in his part of the world. Meanwhile I presume the Blood is on course for the Marquesas. Do you suppose we left Flint back in Australia... I haven't seen him lately
