Less than an hour until the new year.
I better get a fresh supply of bubbly from the dumbwaiter.

Shagbark switches his spyglass out of night mode as a burst of
fireworks blooms over the Tasmanian coast.
He raises a glass. Happy New Year all
Should auld aquaintance be forgot
and days of pirate lore.
should auld aquaintaence be forgot
and pirate days of yore.
For pirate days of yore, me lads
For Pirate days of yore.
I raise a glass of bubbly now
For Pirate days of yore

We3 seem to be passing south of Tasmania. I think those were the fireworks from Hobart we saw last night. I wonder if the captain has a secret raid on some Tasmanian tavern planned.

Perhaps the good captain is skulking around in the jungles of Tasmainia seeking the secret location of treasures byond our imagining waiting to be plundered by the brave crew of the Blood.
Or he may just be on holiday in Brighton.
Pehaps we should take out the Sikorsky and liberate a hogshead of fine Austalian as practice.

Hey up there! Keep an eye out for the Derwent River ... somewhere on the coast up ahead. The Cap'n has decreed a bit of shore leave, so we're vaguely heading for Hobart ... Oh ... and if you see rocks, or sea monsters, or anything like that ... do let us know.

I see the river, I see the lights of the city. I see a low bridge coming right at us.
