Er, about the numbers: I invented a binary/hexidecimal system that seems ideally suited for the Thingite cause. It works like this:
For each hexidecimal place, there is a vowel for zero, a consonant for 1, a pronunciation consonant (when the second and third binary digits are both zero, so you can pronounce it.), and a pronunciation vowel (always goes between two number-consonants).
Ones place:
o, l, t, i
0=
0000
potoo
1=
0001
potol
2=
0010
oolo
3=
0011
oolil
4=
0100
oloo
/* from here on, binary omitted; I think you can make sense of how it works. */
5=olol
6=olilo
7=olilil
8=lotoo
9=lotol
10=lolo
11=lolil
12=liloo
13=lilol
14=lililo
15=lililil
Get it?
The sixteens digit is the same pattern with
e(pronounce single e as é or long A), v, m, y(like long I)
I will write more when I have time, including how to do large numbers.
This was originally designed as a system for a 16 hour day, so I have had to adapt it somewhat.

(So, if you were paying attention, you would notice that 48 rhymes with "revive".)

You have 0000 as potoo. Should that be ootoo
Similarly should 0001 be ootol.
In a normal week there are 168 hours.
With a 16 hour day there would be 10 and a half days in a week.
Which means we need 4 more day names. And what do you call half a day?

No, I mean each (new) hour is a (current) hour and a half long, and you were right about the "P"s. Late night typo...

yeah... it's the whole pronunciation thing that forks me up.

Okay, forget about the time thing. But I think the names of the months need some work. I mean, starting the year with Awful doesn't seem good.

I understood about the time thing. The day would be broken up into 16 NewHours rather than the 24 Oldhours.
A NewHour being 90 minutes long.
What do you hope to achieve by having a 16 hour day? The hours in my day seem long enough already.

Well, it can all be kept track of easily in binary. It also allows you to make some really cool-looking watches.
16 hours in a day - 90 minutes each
16 segments in an hour - almost 6 minutes each
16 sub-segments in a segment - about a third of a minute
16 ticks in a sub-segment, if you need to be that precise.
And it works with my pronounciation system...
I'm currently in the process of making a conversion program from standard time to "my" time.
