A Conversation for The Manifesto for the Campaign to rename Thursday, "Thing"
A visiting Newbie? Goan!!!
Calm, calm, kitush... no need to put all visitors on fire...
and I think the essence is in this quote
"a lady should always wear something in bed because it keeps a man int´rested, which is why I gen´rally find it conveniant to keep my hat on"
Nanny Ogg´s Cookbook on the subject Etiquette in the Bedroom

I'd love to see my husband's face if I kept my hat on
Kitush, what's wrong, I'm not in the UK, you know ? English books are difficult to get, nobody ever managed to give me a list in chronological order, and I'll not go and order books from England as long as I don't know which ones to start with.

I'm surprised nobody's yoinksed that post with the complete works of Pratchett. Surely it falls under advertising?
Mind you, everybody should read at least one...

I read half a dozen TP's, then got bored, like I did with Parry Hotter. Too samey and formulaic.
Far prefer McCaffrey, Weisz, Hobbs, Williams, Lawhead et al.
I could actually fill WHS's F/F bookcase all by myself.
Now, did anyone remember to bring the Stinking Bishop?
A visiting Newbie? Groan!!!
Robin Hobb is a good author, and George RR Martin´s books about Westeros ain´t that bad either...they´ve also got a dragonqueen
One of my absolute favourites is Ursula K LeGuin - read her!

*phoenixes out of bbq ashes and shakes sauce off leg*
I heartily recommend Robert Rankin and Tom Holt to a lesser extent, having just finished Falling Sideways and uttered "What the hell?".
But yes, if Pratchett turns you on or off I find those two make a pleasant change.
But then so does the collected works of Philip K Dick.
Now I will just place this sealed ticking device in the midst of the spork depository and utter, once more, down with Thingites, its a stupid cause.
Key: Complain about this post
