Esty: You idiot. *hits Coren over the head with a big stick. Coren falls down, unconscious, or at least pretending to be*

Postings going very slow now.
I gather we're back in the 14th century - Geoffrey Chaucer?
Saw the Musical 'Canterbury Tales' in the West End.... yonks ago. Very enjoyable, nudge-nudge, wink-wink.

I didn't mean the rate of postings to the thread, (silver all round at the moment) but the time it is taking one reply to get from a single computer to the page! (about 1min 30 in my case)

Sorry about the lag Watermusic. I'm not sure when H2G2 was conceived it ever imagined coping with a thread the size of this one. Look at it this way: we are testing the bold new frontiers of dicovery. Isn't that fun?

Do you think two slices of Presunto (type of Portuguese Proscuitto Crudo - Raw ham) and half a packet of white Maltesers is a good lunch?
Probably finish off with a slice of Melon and Chocolate Ice cream.

Not reeeaaalllyyy
Well you've got protein, sugar, fruit...
Actually it's not THAT bad. Just don't have it for lunch.
Lunches should consist of easily digestable things with sugar in to keep you going for the rest of the day until dinner. Dinner should contain the carbos and starch as you will be sleeping and those things hcan be digested slowly.
And my posts and loading the page are now taking three minutes!

Watermusic Posted Jul 31, 2004
Well, I'm only stuffing the Maltesers because they were on the shelf in the fridge where I replaced the ham.
No will power, expanding wasteline!
So will give the Ice Cream a miss.
Sensible supper planned.
