Plan 9 is a famously bad and thoroughly odd film mixing Sci-Fi and Horror, involving - if I'm not mistaken - cross-dressing, aliens, and zombies... 
Sadly, I haven't seen it - yet 
Although I have seen a film all about the director, Ed Wood, which was also rather bizarre...
Oh, and 
fact: There is a very adventurous experimental Operating System called "Plan 9".

Actually, it's absolutely the *worst* film ever made.
Which is most of it's charm. A lot of the weird stuff in it is pointed out in the film about it's director, Ed Wood.
