Why do I see rings
whenever I look at lights?

NT: maple syrup - should you store it in the 'fridge (too cold but fresh forever) or in the pantry (still needs warmed up, but apt to go orf)?
NT2: pancakes & maple syrup -- what's the best way to pour, and do you stack... do you pour a big splodge, or a spiral,... are your pancakes in a stack, or are they side by side
(that's probably worhty of a couple dozen haiku)
