"Kasia, it's sweet of you to say I had something to do with the party...but mainly it was you! I just thought of it!~You did ALL the work...you're really wondrful! And I've enjoyed meeting so many new people...er, or what ever you guys are! LOL!" *strolls over to Bossel & Kes, looks them up & down...hmmm, I really don't remember meeting you...at the party I mean. Of course it may have had something to do with all those Bloody Brains I was pounding down, er, I mean, sipping."
"Well 3am...time to start work. Keeping hours like these could make a therapist HATE people! HA!" "see whta's left of everyone in a few hours! And thanks for the crab cakes Kasia!"
*folds a few in napkins & sticks them in her purse for later*

Morning (9 am at my place)!
Time for a nice Saturday breakfast - today the french turn.
*Kasia goes to the kitchen and brings some fresh croissants, jam, butter and cafe au lait*
Hello Pan, 3 am and work?! Girl, thet'll kill you! It's no good to work at this time. *worried look to Pan*

*The delicious odour of continental breakfast rouses Kes from his reverie. He discards the PGGB, but continues to stroke the cat (more soothing)*
Dobry den - jak se mas, Kasia? (terrible accent ... terrible)

Dzien dobry, Kes!
My, you really surprised me. The accent is not that bad. One thing: we Poles say 'dzien dobry', our neighbours, the Czech's and Slovak's (are those names really correct - I'm not sure) say 'Dobry den'

Kes Posted Nov 4, 2000
Thank you, Kasia ... I know it should have been Polish, but I only have very rusty Czech ... thought it was worth a try!
OK ... Dzien dobry, Kasia ... any chance of a coffee, and some milk for Dragonfly?

Good Morning everybody!
Oh, and I would be glad if there were some surplus coffee and croissant for me as well, before heading off for a RL meeting with some friends...

Uff! Finally I'm back. Sorry I vanished without a word earlier today, but methinks it was because of this h2g2 server problem. Just now I got the horror of my life: as I loged in, my personal space came in Alabastard!!! The longest 5 minutes ever, before it turn in my Goo!
Hi Pandora! My, you are shrivering!
*Kasia rushes to the fireplace, puts some more wood and hands Pan the blackberry brandy, Pan's grandma tea with ... a straw*
Here, you can put the cup at the small table at your side and try to drink through the straw, but be careful, the tea is really, really hot

Hallo Kasia!

Hi Engläder, Bossel!
Here we go: a porto for Engländer and a PGGB for Bossel. Cheers, guys.
As for the 'Feuerzangenbowle', for the not German speaking folks around here: it's a german punch, very good one, which Bossel brought from our German thread - thank you, dear (I hope, you left something for AXR, Trillian's child and the others?

Kes Posted Nov 5, 2000
Dzien dobry, (yet again) Kasia. The German "punch", taken literally, sounds like you heat it by putting hot tongs or a poker into it? Is it like that, or is it a "Gluhwein"? In either event, I'll try a glass. Zum wohl!
... and not that I have any personal interest, you understand ... purely academic, and all that .... but you haven't by any chance seen a cat around here, have you ... 'ne kleine schwartze Katze, vielleicht?
*Kes looks out of the window ... not concentrating on the reply too much*
About to go IRL - may not be able to reply - sorry.

Dzien dobry, Kes. Well, yes this Feuerzangenbowle is like a poker bunch; not tongue (Zunge in German, not Zange). Hey, you seem to know quite many foreign languages, no? well, at last some words then
That's nice; I would like to lern Italian, for example - maybe you could be my teacher, Kes?
Oh, and I'm sorry, haven't seen any black cat in here

[Phillipa]
*Phillipa, the useful niece of mari-rae, comes quietly into the Pub. She stops to pet Gwennie's dogs, Spike, Jess and Kim. She looks concerned at Pandora's shivering and wraps a crocheted afghan around Pan's shoulders.*
There you are, Pandora. May I get you another tea and brandy?
*Without waiting for an answer she goes to the bar.*
A tea and brandy for Pandora, Kasia, and I'd like a small sherry, please. Hello, everyone. My Auntie is running the Tea Shoppe for a bit, and has given me some time off.
*She picks up a Lego piece and looks at it curiously.*
