Happy Valentines Day!
*Realises that stepping out to change out of his too-tight leathers may have taken longer than he thought*
Is it too early to start the Easter celebrations?

[Thinks: Never too early...hmmmm]
I'm collecting money to build up a kitty for the 2 999 New Years Eve party - anyone ready to chip in?

Hypatia Posted Feb 17, 2003
I have a Canadian dime and a subway token I'll donate.
So, how much will a party cost in 2999? And will I still fit into my beaded evening gown?

*drops a carwash token and a brass button into the collection box*
They might be worth quite a bit in 2999

*Frowns*
Hmmm... all I've got is gold coins and some gold bullion. Will that work?

::drops the tattered remnants of his conscience into the hat, adds a small matchbook with no matches, and an elephant heart that he stumbled across on the walk here this morning::

*Stares in confusion at the piece of paper that says "Mary"- she must have forgotten to put her phone number on. Decides to try to throw it back up*
Doesn't really matter how much it is worth now, because, by 2999, if you put it all in a bank, the interest accumulated will pay for the party many times over. Like the Restaurant at the End of the Universe.

What? What's wrong with gold?
...and why should I give it to you...?
Crossed Purposes-February 2003
Researcher 185550 Posted Feb 18, 2003
Well, between you'n' me, I wouldn't. You should give it to me instead, I'll keep it safe from other such suspicious characters.

::suddenly and inexplicably back up to the hat from the darkest corner and takes back the elephant heart, and dashes back into the shadows::

Hey, now. What's up with this? I wanna donate it!
*Grabs the hat, and dumps the contents of a small leather pouch into it.*
So there!
