Smarch is short for Shadowmarch. It's a non-h2g2 thing, which may interest you if you are a fan of fantasy, especially Tad Williams.

Anyone fancy a campfire? Come to the campfire circle for a singalong of traditional bawdies and Guide/Scout campfire songs, smores, toasting marshmallows, dampers (twists), campfire stunts, campfire yarns and the like. Please bring some (burnable not green) wood with you.

You may well live to regret saying that!!!

if it will pass the h2g2 moderators, it's a lot cleaner than the songs/skits at most older (above 14 year olds) Scout/Guide campfires.

I would have been thrown out of guides I think.Brownies was lovely,I was a Pixie and one week we had to bring something from home that came from another country. We all had to draw a name of a country out of a bag and mine was HAITI. In those you couldn't buy murderous dictators from Liptons or the Co-op so we were pretty stuck!!!!How we laughed.....

That shows poor organising skills on the part of the Guiders - I did something similar a few years back but made sure I could think of at least 5 things readily available from every country we put in the hat.

Mardi Gras is March 4, 2003. If anyone is interested in a parade again this year:
Let me know, so I can be here on the 4th.
Start building your float and preparing your costumes

Is anyone actively part of the Sheep Revolt any more?
I'll put some thought into my float.

Strange, it doesn't feel like a year ago.

Evangeline Posted Mar 1, 2003
A little over a year, actually. Doesn't seem like it here either. A lot has happened in the last year.

And back then, when I suggested it become an annual event, March 2003 seemed an age off.
