Some days I barely feel grown-up. Then other days, I just feel old.

wow, thinking about the fact that it actually HAS been a year is making me sentimental about how fast life moves....
to think last year i was really just a junior in highschool and considering how fast it went by i'm gonna be out of highschool in no time. which is a good thing, but.... i will miss it

I'm now deep into my degree course. I ought to be able to call myself a chemist and a student without feeling guilty...

Bagheera,
The parade is progressing nicely. We are still making floats and setting up the parade. RL parades won't end until 5 a.m. Wednesday morning GMT time.

Just reactivating my sub to the Campsite Noticeboard after a PC-crash and much lost data
Any Thespians (especially of the New York variety) amongst us?
Have just left an explanation in my Journal of why I'm asking but briefly my daughter's Theatre School are looking to forge connections with a similar group in New York, as Liverpool has been twinned with NY for some time and we are starting to make preparations for our tour of duty as the European Capital of Culture in 2008, following on Liverpool's 800 year anniversary in 2007.
The MD is looking to exchange ideas in the first instance, possibly tutors and even students at a later date if the project really gets off the ground.
Any offers gratefully received and passed on to 'The Management'

Bagheera! I was kind of wondering where you had gone. Good to see you around again. I hope that lost data doesn't include an irreplaceable manuscript.
I am not aware of any of the campers being from New York. Have you tried posting your request to the Northeast U.S. Researchers page A565940 ? I hope someone can answer your questions and find a suitable exchange group.

Evangeline, thanks for the tip: will contact them directly
No lost manuscripts, thankfully but lots of addresses and correspondence unfortunately - have to rebuild address book from scratch!!

Good Evening, Campers!
No, it's NOT Uncle Ernie, but a shattered Bagheera back home for a REST following a busy weekend working at a (RL) Campsite
It was also a good excuse to flee the expected 500,000+ visitors per day to the Liverpool City Centre for the annual Beatles Festival - which has now outgrown the pathetic tea-party they call the Notting Hill Festival in London

Bagheera! Good to see you!
You went outside? In that heat? Drink this, you'll feel better. Have you ever had a Mimosa(+)?
500,000 per day...almost like being in New Orleans for the week of Mardi Gras(which is something I will never, ever, do again).

Hi, Evangeline! Just read the papers on getting home, what impressed me was the report that ALL WEEKEND the only thing the police had to take care of was 35 drunk & disorderly charges, and there was NO violence or other public disorder ....... perhaps people are at last starting to 'grow up' a bit at these festivals

[Ahem!!]
Just to say that Bagheera, Dreamweaver and Lilla Spoket (together with Espharoth) have been busy every weekend recently as Staff at a (Real Life) Campsite locally, and are away again this weekend (800+ Venture Scouts expected) and next weekend (200+ Scout Leaders booked in for a "Survival Training" weekend - they've been told to bring a poncho, a decent knife and (as a concession) a box of matches in some sort of waterproof container .... what you might call a 'Back to Basics' camp experience!!!
