Hia Campers - just to let you know that we'll be having a bit of a fire on monday evening, down by the beach. They'll be plenty of beans and the forecast is for a bit of snow, so it should be fun.
The usual collection of musical instruments and home-made fireworks will be their.
All Welcome ^_^

Until the (apparent) hiccup with Dreamweaver's first attempt at entry is sorted out, any messages for her can be left with me on pitch 7

Hi Bagheera - could you let Dreamweaver know that we found her gloves by the woodpile down on the beach. If she turns up tonight at the shindig she can pick them up. (Not sure where your pitch 7 is?) I dont seem to have a number on my pitch. We're pithched down by the shore - about ten minutes from the Camp Shop.
PS - why buy ice from the camp shop when you can chip it off the glacier for free? And it tastes a lot better.

Have an excellent beach gathering tonight, fellow campers! I'm off to the frozen North (Leeds) for a week and will be in a tiny village without so much as a wisp of a connection to the Campsite *weeps*
But I hope to hear all about your revels when I return! Save me some PGGB.
*trails reluctantly away leaving guitar, marshmallows and crate of elderflower champagne for all to share*

Thanks, 17! Good dragon riding gloves are hard to find these days.
As you can see, I'm here with Bagheera
Nice do! I'll have some and I think: what about you, Bagheera?
I'll try some of Elfira's elderflower , but I'm really more of an feline, truth to tell.
Perhaps a would be nice, there wasn't much fresh meat to scavenge over at the house tonight ......

Hi there. Old Uncle Zarniwoop here.
Due to popular demand the Campsite has now opened a small section of the local lake up to the joyous sport of fishing. Relax and get away from all the hassle, and play the sport of kings.
Buy all the tackle you need at the tackle hut, and then at the end of the day, we barbecue it on the shore.

The fishing pond is here: http://www.bbc.co.uk/h2g2/guide/F45817?thread=153382 By the way, I'm slightly worried that no-one has used the toilet and shower block yet... [http://www.bbc.co.uk/h2g2/guide/A655922] Are we all just going to get smellier and smellier?

glad the barbequed fish fingers went down so well. The Yorkshire Polar Expeditionary team send their apologies for eating all the burgers, but they had a long treck ahead of them yesterday to get more biscuits for the penguins.
The luminous painted polar bear that appeared a few days ago, is I'm assured part of the art department's contibution to the festival and is water soluable paint, so dont worry about it's health.
Any idea on the bands that are on tonight?

cycle powered music system? Sounds great. So how do you get on cycling on snow?
I have extra nobbly tyres...........but still slide around all over the place, which is quite fun.
My saxophone doesent like the cold weather too much. Tell me more about your bike powered sounds?
Perhaps we could perform at the next gathering of campfire-hooligans?
.......we'd better ensure their are plenty of beans next time...
