Morning all. Welcome to Friday!

Afternoon. It's pouring with rain and I'm cycling home in 2 hours. Hopefully it'll calm down a bit by then...

I would love to hear B4's take on Fukushima...
The trees are greening down on the Bonito! Funny, they weren't green yesterday. And I have made the spring transition to short sleeves.

Another milestone in the Bea-hive - youngest passed her driving test!
Boy, do I feel old. And I guess I better dig out my trusty bicycle.

From what the experts have been saying on TV it seems that even if they walked away from the Fukushima plant and left it to its own devices it would still not be as bad as Chernobyl. That was as bad as a nuclear power station accident can get.
We are living in momentous times it seems. It is not easy to see how the tragedy in Japan and the events taking place in the Arab world are going to pan out and effect the world in general.

There's white stuff falling from the sky - and it's cold enough for it to add another layer to the already existing one.

And yes, I too would love to have B4 offering his view on Fukushima.

Pity about the white stuff Ti-I actually had some washing out on the line today.
Had a job interview yesterday I am waiting to hear from. One today I would have loved to get but didn't, and 2 more coming up next week.

I have an extremely cool first cousin, with whom I have been in contact after a hiatus of about 40 years. We haven't been in the same room since we were little kids. He used to be a professional musician and still plays piano at the local bistros, but his new profession is converting conventional cars to all electric. Here he is being interviewed at a local rally, with a close look at his latest project:

Now that is an interesting conversion. I'd love to know why he picked that particular car.

I got a call from a local computer shop today asking me to come in for an interview on Monday. Guess I better go get my hair cut tomorrow.

Thanks eats! The job is for repairs.

Good luck GDZ! This would be a back room job?
I just came across this funny and righteous rant by a schoolteacher; in the USA teachers are under attack by the know-nothing wing of the Republican party (aided by the union-busting corporate wing), and this fellow, it seems, just had enough.

Like everyone else, have been struggling to keep up with the news in Japan, Libya etc. It's all rather beyond understanding.
It's "get in" to the theatre day for Into the Woods today. Costumes and make-up and set, oh my!
Feathers crossed for all interviewing Salonistas.
