Indeed, I did know what I was gonna do. I think the interview went fairly well. They have 5 or 6 positions to fill and from what I could gather, were only interviewing today. I figure they were probably interviewing a max of 12 people. We'll see what happens. I have another company that wants me to interview on Wednesday. I went ahead and scheduled it but will probably cancel, just don't have a good vibe about them.

I'll shut up now before y'all faint because my post is so long.

I have an interview for an internship role tomorrow, hopefully this time I won't loose out to someone with more experience, as it's a graduate position.

Has the dynamic of the Atelier changed? With the "outing" list on FB (which I seem to have bypassed fortunately) changed the Salonistas perspective on our long established method of communication between ourselves?
Are the geeks slowly falling out of the cerebral closet?

There's been a slowdown of sorts. We experienced a partial walkout and several others are away on bidness. And I feel bad about those who are missing, but, as the actress said to the bishop, it is what it is.

We haven't really homed in on substantive discussions much of late. I'll throw a topic out from time to time that catches my attention, as do others, but if nobody's interested at the time, I won't lose sleep over it.

The Facebook phenomenon, well, I'm up there more than formerly, but I have other entities with whom I intersect over there. It's a place driven by venn diagrams.

We're finally seeing some real meltmeltmelt; today's high predicted to +12ºC/54ºF with possibly a bit of rain towards the afternoon, but right now the sky is clear and the sun is shining. A pity I'm stuck at w*rk.

Send some of that melt this way would you? We're supposed to get some snow today. I hate being right, said last week that it would snow this week because spring was here.

I do hope I get the job I went for today as I've got rejected for the one I interviewed for on Thursday. Trying also to juggle interviews/a very short temp role for next Wednesday. Feeling nervous atm.

Thanks for all the good wishes, but yet again I got beaten by someone with more experience. Can't get a job I want, doubting my ability to get a manual job either to bring in the money.

Rosemary, I'm sorry you were beat out. The competition is just incredibly fierce everywhere.

Sorry Rosemary. Don't doubt your ability. Just pick yourself up and start again. You're a long, long way from beat. Are there any short college courses you could do in the meantime? Something to keep the brain active that would make you even more competitive?

I've got a chainsaw course starting a week on Monday. Quite excited. I've been looking at the Forestry courses too. First year is an HNC, 2nd gives you an HND and the third is a BSc. It would suit me, as I could bang out at the end of any year with a qualification should a suitable job appear. Or should the family get feb up eating beans.
The only problem is now the Air Force job is getting in the way!!!!!
