Ah, it would appear that in English, when the mark shows on the forehead rather than the neck it's called Angel's Kiss (how cute):

My blotch is just the lower tip of the mark in the picture on the site above. But all the sites I've come across so far refer to it as a 'baby' or 'infant' thing - but I'm an adult!

I had to cross a picket line to get into work today. The picket was one person who I knew and said hello to and signed the petition form as I agree with why that group of staff is on strike (but not so much I'm willing to lose a days pay by not crossing the picket line).

We had to fill out leave request forms to say if we were going to be going on strike, then they could plan to rearrange our duties.
HUmm. Point.Missed.

Congrats, David!
I had something or other attack my Google Chrome, and it was messing mightily with my video streaming, so I uninstalled Chrome, and now I've lost my Goo -- even when I reinstall Chrome, I won't get the "classic Goo" link back, I think. Feeling really bummed. To make the noohootoo visible at all, I've had to readjust my text, font and appearance settings. The only good thing about it is I got rid of those damn dolphins!

It's very quiet at work at the Uni today. The members of the University & College Union are on a one day strike, a union for teaching staff, not for the admin staff, and so all the students have decided to take the day as a free holiday (even though not all academics are members of the union) and have the day off too. Only 4 academic members of staff have turned up to strike outside, so not much of a picket.
But in unrelated good news, my bike's back.

Ti, I've an Angel's Kiss (didn't know that that's what it's called, thanks!) as a birthmark, though mine's shaped more like a fake deer hoofmark (you know, the kind children make with their first 2 fingers). It's mostly faded to invisibility, though it'll still flare up a little when I'm really really tired, and my mom said it would flame up bright red when I was mad when I was little. Nowadays, I'll sometimes catch myself putting my rosacea medication on it if I'm not paying attention.

Oh right, it seems that it's just blood vessels that are nearer the surface than they should be blood vessels, so it will get more prominent when they are more dilated. Lots of things make blood vessels more dilated..

Eats, it was the butler
(I'm fairly sure that there's absolutely no butler in the series, so I dare sneak back in...)
And is the Canadians who redo it? I think it's the USAians and that they have the story going on in Seattle.

Nothing new to report from Lincoln. The cleaner comes today -- makes me feel odd, having a cleaning lady. Like having a cleaner should make me feel wealthy, even though I am truly not. And then I think I should neaten up a bit because the cleaning lady is coming.

My s-i-l, who is wealthy, has a cleaning lady. The cleaner won't move anything so my s-i-l does have to tidy up and clear off any horizontal surface that she wants cleaned.

When I lived alone my cleaning ladies kept leaving because my house was dirty. I wondered why else I'd want a cleaner?
Ben and I have made a House Work Roles and Responsbilities list, indicating daily, weekly and monthly tasks with space to initial them. Oddly enough it was me not her that made it.

I got confused SV. They are filming it in Vancouver posing as Seattle.
Interesting that it is a 13 part series compared to the 20 of the Danish drama. Is each episode longer I wonder, or have the managing/marketing people enforced a dumbing down for US audiences?
If the USAians get a chance to see it in Danish then trust me, you'll soon be engrossed in it.

minichessemouse - Ahoy there me barnacle! Posted Mar 24, 2011
well S and i have put down the first part of the deposit for the flat we will hopefully be renting come august. we saw it yesterday and loved it. it has gas heating and cooker (yay) as well as plenty of space and a seperate kitchen. there is even a dining table! so this morning we paid £100 of the deposit to secure the flat as ours. now we get all the paperwork in order and sign the lease!
sorting out who cleans what and when is something that will have to happen once we are moved in and settled. Although apparently i get dibs on the cooking as i actually know what im doing in the kitchen occasionally.
