113 days of the ground being permanently covered by snow - it's obviously been 41 years since we last had snow for so long. Yep, sounds about right, I remember some pretty long winters with lots of snow from when I was a wee kid.

Watch out for rifts, mags -- they're attracted to bedrooms like that.
Right. Landlady's daughter got the boxes down for me and right away I found a pile of old official photos and postcards of old aircraft. I'll scan them later today when I'm on hold to the Dole People, strip the labels and put them up as a quiz.

If not, I have these super tracking arrows and an ultra light line - it would require me shooting Mags in one of her more padded parts though... so let's save that as a last resort, eh?

Night all.

Anyone got any spare warmth to send over here? Still below freezing point this morning...
I wonder if it's common practice to store nuclear waste inside a nuclear plant? It just doesn't appear very wise to me, especially now that one of the basins at Fukushima has leaked and the exposed waste has started glowing, according to Swedish news channels. Last I heard, the Japanese authorities denied this was happening though.

...Hello all. Theatre was good - I didn't get the job, which was not so good but best of all I still have
I hadn't heard that about the waste. Worrying if it is true...

It's hard to keep up with the reports. I thought it was worrying, to say the least, to see helicopters dropping water on the reactor cores as if it were a forest fire. Talk about last resorts.
The mystery aircraft quiz is up on facebook, in my photo collection.

Will answer the aircraft quiz after I've fed the munsters. Recognise most, but there's a few tricky ones there.

What was your score? Will your crewmates help? And are you actually buying a Nimrod? Will it make a good garden planter? Shall I stop asking questions?

Live Japanese news, where it *does* seem that the level of the water covering the nuclear waste had indeed decreased:

Score me as I answered Lil. I ran through them without looking up the answers. Great pictures with a few unusual variants which makes them all the more interesting.
The one you didn't have was the Bell Airacobra. As I mentioned, when you look at something, plane or ship or vehicle, invariably the first name that springs to mind is the correct one. If you're wrong, that name will often clue an analyst in to the actual target.
I thought airacobra, but somehow I had in my head it was larger.
The B-19 picture is a belter. B-17 springs to mind instantly, but then you can see that it is all wrong in terms of wing shape and engine positioning and size. There were so many aircraft types produced in the War, but only a few ever became popular with the public or in films.
Yes, we are buying a Nimrod, in fact two! The idea is to save one as the gate Guard at Kinloss, the one pictured in the hangar will be in fully working order. It nearly is just now.
