Magwitch - My name is Mags and I am funky. Posted Jan 17, 2010
That sounds like a plan and a quarter.
Would perhaps be a regular feature (as part of the summary, perchance?)

Greensleeves Posted Jan 17, 2010
*Greensleeves looks very bashful, and rather confused*
You are all too kind. And to be the poet laureate of the Salon? I'm honoured, Lil. Really.
*If she wasn't a performer, she'd be kicking her feet right now, as it is she fiddles with the cigarette holder and bright aqua Sobranie it holds falls out on the floor. Fortunately it isn't lit, and Greensleeves doesn't notice when one of the bots picks removes it*
The kind people who look after my personal space have put a corrected version of the lyrics there. The lyric sheets slipped out of my hand when I was rehearsing, so one of the verses got out of order and a typo crept into FG's line. You'd be amazed how those typos accumulate on the floor.
*She notices that the cigarette has gone from the holder, and looks even more confused*

*she does notice that there's a "the" missing and twitches it with her foot hopefully in the direction of the previous post*
*the bot sees her doing it, but being a bot it doesn't say anything*

Your bathroom looks lovely, Ben. I can't wait to see how you remodel the kitchen and living room!

Why not find a spot on the hearth rug with the nanimals?
I just got the bots downstairs to make me up a harness like the one they made for Zeppo. Custom fitted and very unobtrusive. I'm calling it the Harkonnen. No orange buttons, either. *glides into the kitchen, wondering how long it will be before the poem's enshrinement has been spotted* Anyone for hot chocolate? With marshmallows?

In Birmingham again... and just about to go to bed as well, it's been a long night.

Mrs Zen Posted Jan 18, 2010
Morning everyone.
Just missed my neighbour who I give a lift to. She catches the 7:13 bus unless I give her a lift at 7:30. She emailed me at 6:48 this morning to check, and I sat down at my PC at 7:12 so I missed it and her. She doesn't have a mobile phone, so I couldn't catch her. Oh well. If you MUST live without a mobi, what do you expect?
Off up to Embra tomorrow for my Annual Appraisal. It should be "meets expectations but should play nicer". I'll be remarkably pissed off if it isn't.
The kitchen will be less dramatic FG, just a lot fresher and tidier. The problem at the moment is that the house is FULL of carp, and I need to pack it ALL up and store it, donate it or freecycle it. Still I had a productive weekend.

Phil Posted Jan 18, 2010
There was a slightly suprising thing happened yesterday. Within about 10 minutes, I'd bumped into two people I've not seen for years. That was nice

I bumped into someone too, Phil, only to discover he'd moved to the town where my husband grew up (and most of his family still reside). Odd how these things happen, eh.

How lovely the poem looks up there in pride of place! And what a wonderful introduction to the Salon.

(Why isn't that smiley named the much-easier-to-spell 'Clap'?)
Excellent, Greensleeves. Hmm, although I do nowhave that song stuck in my head. Not entirely sure that's a good thing.
Welcome, Slippery.

There would hbe too much potential confusion with 'clap'?
I have a day off, and am mostly procrastinating. I have 2 job applications to complete, but although they'd both be great jobs, the thought of potentially leaving the place I've worked for since September 2000 is daunting. I did get as far as asking my pastor if he can provide a reference.
Key: Complain about this post
