First kiss? Lovely boy I met at a school dance. We were both 15. We didn't actually kiss at the dance. We just sat in the deserted class-room where all the chips and coke had been laid out and talked and talked, for hours and hours. And swapped addresses. A few months of intense correspondance later, he came to stay the night at my parents' place (we were both at boarding school, BTW, about 20 miles apart). We just about held hands while walking through the park. We caught the same train back to our respective schools, and just before my stop, he finally kissed me.
I dancing on clouds for days.
We did proper snogging a few weeks later, when his parents invited me to spend a weekend at their house. In so far as we could, with his bratty little sister thinking it extremely amusing to follow us about and scream 'urgh! They're kissing!' When you're 15, that kind of thing is fraying to the nerves.
My first boyfriend. Ahh, he was so sweet.
I met him again and a few years later and he hadn't changed a bit. Umm. Considering we were both 18/19 by then, I think a LITTLE changing would have been in order.

AH no - I'm afraid the reason the shift was bad was nothing to do with the Beamer! That actually improved it, in hindsite..

First snog?
Random bloke I met while on a bike ride. It had been glorious, then we had a sharp summer shower. I'd stopped to dry out a bit in the (now) very warm sun. Sat down, this bloke arrived, he was quite cute, we chatted ages. Snogged for a bit and the I went home. I never saw him again - in fact I don't even know where I was at the time because I used to take a ride to anywhere at all that summer

I feel that I've wandered into a party - and not quite sure if I am supposed to be there - I've brought a six-pack (beer that is) when perhaps I should have got some decent wine - but at least I didn't bring a Party 7 and screwdriver -that ages me - it's all this talk of snogging.
Why were stairs such a wonderful place to lounge and chat and sprawl when young but past a certain age, as adults - we never re-live that stair-spralwing party time? it's so cosy better than in the lounge on proper chairs having proper conversations
I yearn for a party littered with assorted people I have never seen before, lots of fallen coats heaped up in the hall, and to wander into the kitchen which is already an undescribable mess and wonder whose house is this anyway?
Thanks for all your welcomes

My first snog was with my young gentleman just over two years ago, moments after my first kiss at stupid o'clock in the morning - we spent the night playing a board game with friends, then wound up at my place watching classic Doctor Who and having a Serious Talk.
(Well, it wasn't my first kiss if we count the lad I was 'going out with' for a couple of months in my teenage years. I met him at a summer camp and only saw him once afterwards. We sort of bumped faces briefly at the end of that afternoon, all very chaste, and I dumped him by email within the week because he was a bore. Couldn't keep up with my intellect, poor boy. I still feel bad about leading him on. At that point I hadn't the confidence to refuse his proposal of dating, especially with an audience of giggly teenagers determined to pair us off.)
(He doesn't count. It wasn't even a proper kiss.)

I was a spotty, eighteen year old, just posted to my first RAF base after trade training. The 'Camp Bike' approached me as I was sat at a table with a pint in front of me. She pulled my head back by my hair, and planted her lips on top of mine, and forced her tongue into my mouth. My first experience of a 'snog', and I did not enjoy it!!!

Slippery Ramparts (we do need to shorten that a bit if you're sticking around, any suggestions?) you'd better not mess up the kitchen or Matina the maidbot will have it in for you.
I just realized why your user name sounded familiar - you're that person writing about Roald Dahl!
I'm afraid I've grown too grown-up to sit on stairs any more (too uncomfortable), I prefer a sofa or a hearth rug *coughs experimentally but decides to stay away from the unaus a little bit longer*

Funny you should mention the stair party, Slip, since a friend of mine and I were just discussing that today. My ideal house has an open staircase up the middle where people can hang outÉmaybe overlooking the kitchen?

Of all the films they could choose, Swedish state TV tonight chose to entertain us insomniacs with 'Under the red cloak' from 1937:
