A for the doggie, GT. Our current dog is of course
around all over, but the previous one and the cats are all in the garden, each with a new rose planted on top.

Sorry to hear about your dog GT. We do get emotionally attached to them. I intended putting a few years between ours so they wouldn't both grow old together but ended up with brother and sister. Still we might take a litter from our bitch and keep one of the pups.
Well that's the plan.

On another note, a in fact, I went with a dear friend yesterday to hear Danish jazz singer Sinne Eeg at an outdoor Copenhagen Jazz Festival concert.
My, oh my, that lady can sing. My friend, who sings classical choir and has had formal training commented after the last - very long and clean and beautiful - tone: "how annoying with such impressive voice control "
The trio with her (which made them a quartet, I guess) was quite exuberant - their joy of playing just took it another level up.
Even the weather played along. We did *not* get any rain - but clouds did arrive almost spot on when Sinne Eeg started into "Sudden Change of Weather" ...
And especially for Teuchter, I have to add the that last beautiful tone mentioned above was in "Waiting for Dawn" which was the ending song of about 2 hours worth of brilliant music.

Excellent scribing. Lil, would you like me to take the third leg of the relay for this thread?
Sorry to hear about your dog, GT.

It's morning already, why is it morning already?

Sure is. England were probably in the lead after the first day, Wednesday, but the Aussie batsmen have caught up now and the force is with them, grrr.

There's a nice stripey deck chair here, don't forget the knotted hanky.

Speaking of cricket, I found a live one in the basement storeroom the other day. A cricket may do perfectly well in Times Square, but they can wreak havoc in a library.
As to the game, don't the Aussies generally win the big matches?

Thanks WA, though I'll be off to the lake district shortly, so don't let me fall asleep in it.

They currently hold the Ashes, the trophy England and Australia play for every two years, but overall we're just about equal. In recent times, except 2005, it's true the Aussies have beaten us.
