minichessemouse - Ahoy there me barnacle! Posted May 11, 2009
Oh bother my hospital appointment is tomorrow, good job i checked or i would have missed it. I get to go and get poked and prodded at, FUN! plus the hospital is kept at the melting point of steel and i am always the youngest one there, eye problems being something for more elderly folk than me. Gah, and most of my friends have exams tomorrow, so I will be unlikely to find anyone to go with me.

[skipping merrily through the backlog]
Just a comment on housework - I love people coming over, because it gives me an excuse to clean house.

Lentilla, that's pretty much the ONLY time I clean.
Saw Star Trek. No details, but I'd like to recommend it.

No word from Hyp
I can only assume she's got home to find the power's off.
Hope she had a good journey.
Putting things in the freezer overnight is an effective way of killing dustmites.
Works for pillows and teddies - but perhaps not the entire mattress
My new silk filled duvet, bought in China, is indeed not a place where dustmites can live.
I've been damp dusting for years, on the occasions I actually do any cleaning, partly because it's a more effective way of collecting the stuff but also because I used to find that spraying those aerosol things around precipitated an asthma attack.

I'm not a very houseproud person, so am much more likely to clean properly if people are coming. As I currently share my house with three other people, we have company quite frequently, so we clean quite often.

Morning all.
I would appreciate it if my body didn't decide to have a half-hour coughing fit at 2:30am.
Still. It's a lovely day, I got some washing done, cleaned the kitchen and got to work. Now just to make the next eight hours fly by as quickly as the last two!
I went canoeing yesterday, for the first time in about ten years. It was... interesting. I can now go forwards and backwards (most of the time). Yay for me!

Like Mini I too need to go to the hospital today. And again tomorrow.
I'll be being fitted with a machine that goes bleep every so often and does some measurement or two. Once more I need to be subjected to 24hr blood pressure monitoring. Nothing major but they like to keep an eye on it when it starts to creep up.
Then on thursday morning I go to a different hospital and see a physio. I'm looking forward to this as since I last saw here I've had more pain in my knee than before. I'm not sure if I'm doing these stretches right...
If there were an effective way of just having no dust mites all the time then I'd sign up like a shot

I get two whole days of 'not hospitals' at 10pm tonight - well nearly, I'm being persuaded to do Thursday night.

Lots of hospital visits (except for Z ) over the next couple of days - hope they all go as well as can be expected.
I can't believe the wedding has come around so fast, I remember when GDZ was first telling us all about meeting his J. I hope you have a fabulous day
Things are not rosy in our house, the boys both still have colds and are both teething, and I have something that I am convinced is dysentry. Ugh. I remember when being ill meant a duvet day spent watching crappy daytime tv or reading or...SLEEPING. Bliss. Am now wondering who I need to phone in sick to in order to get a day off.
