Sol, the problem with re-writes is that I'd have to re-grade. I've got zero time for that right about now, what with a chapter due in 3 weeks.

Yes when the doctor was telling me that i am allergic to everything that is in the air she advised wet dusting every day or two to keep dust particles out of the air, but she also advised hoovering the bed every week or so, i didn't have the heart to tell her that i barely hoover my room once a month. I suppose all this will be more important when I move though, out of nice new clean (ish) halls buildings and into al old mill building that has been turned into flats.

Hoovering the mattress is important to remove the dust mites (is that what they're called in English?) - nasty little buggers' poo is actually what an allergic person gets an allergic reaction to.

'No, technically speaking, I'm not allergic to dust per se, but to the manure produced by dust mites'

There is a mattress cover, a sheet and half of my double duvet between me and my mattress, I think i am probably fairly safe, plus my duvet is of the hypo-allergenic variety, which must do something.

Ben has spent some time in Sweden, so she might understand the Swedish word for what dust allergics react to:

The only Swedish I have left is "hello", "goodbye", "excuse me" and "thank you", and the first two are the same anyway.
Which reminds me:
I did catch Santra saying "I've got to leave now, so I'll go and say 'hello' to everyone".
Considering just how immaculate your English is, and his, I was sneakily amused by his remark.

Is your mattress cover cloth or plastic/vinyl min? 'Cause cloth won't keep the dust mite poo away. I got a vinyl cover for Faith's mattress when she graduated to a big girl bed, but that was because it was free (looks brand new, so don't know if it was actually ever slept on) and I figured better safe than sorry. If you don't like the feel of plastic right under the sheet, you could always put your old mattress cover over the plastic/vinyl one.
Check the dustbunnies to see if they're sparkly rainbow ones--be interesting to find out if mufflewhumps have escaped h2g2

The mattress cover feels plasticy, no point getting a different one at the moment though as i am moving in less than a month and am not sure what size bed i have in the next flat.
I will have to be rather more careful when i go home next as that house is full of dust, pets and greenery. I did wonder why i was so ill when i came back last!
