Put me into the learn by doing camp. My children's librarian is finally becoming self-confident enough to plan and execute tasks on her own. It's an absolute joy to work with her as a result. But it has been a struggle. Not that it has anything to do with windshields fogging up, but, oh never mind.
Time for me to brave the auditors. If I'm not back by Thursday, send someone in after me.

Lil, do you still want me to do 1001-1500? I'm happy to do any you allocate me, just make sure I know I'm doing 'em!
Got in to work ok today, but then spent 3 hours finding a PC I could bend to my will. I still haven't, really. But at least I can work on this one.
Sort of.

I went to the local library in Ockendon but they call it Belhus in Essex to put my books back and there is a notice saying that they will be closing early at 4pm. I do not know if they were open yesterday but the doctors that I went today were closed yesterday. There was a notice on the door telling of yesterdays closure. I telephoned for an appointment today at 8:32 but got seen at 10:08 and there was not anyone in the surgery and only was in there for three minutes at the most.

phew. i made it through. My dog is fat, too. He's a JRT, who doesnt really like the cold snow on his feet, so it's difficult to get him enough exercise in the winter. (i dont like it much either, so i dont put up too much of a fight.) When i try feeding him less, he's ravenous and will eat anything he sees. Spring is coming soon, my goal is to get him down to his fighting weight by the time the snow flies next winter, and keep him there during the winter. HOpefully that works (for him as well as me.)

Titania, that list makes me a bit sad. Not because of the idiocy in the quotations, but because I've read those quotations before, and many of them seem to have been added to or elaborated on, which makes me think that perhaps they were never from actual court transcripts in the first place My brother bought me a calendar of lawyer jokes (one for each day) when I went to law school that had most of those quotes in it. I distinctly remember, for instance, this quote:
ATTORNEY: Are you qualified to give a urine sample?
WITNESS: Are you qualified to ask that question?
That's how it's reproduced in the link you sent. The way I remember it, thought, the witness responded "Yes, and I have been since I was very young."

G'morning, all!
I am still enjoying visiting behind the Zion curtain and am about to take some lovely shots of the snow covered mountains surrounding me - just to show Texans what real mountains look like when I get back.
Freddy definitely seems to be over for me. In addition to this lovely holiday with my good friends, I got the second phone interview for a job I'm really interested in yesterday. It seemed to go well - except for my forgetting what the T and C stand for in TCP - and I should hear from the company by the end of the week if they want to do a face-to-face interview.

It is good news [ i think ] about your leg Lil .
It was a surprise to see the phone box removed , they had only put a new poster up the week before , something about child obesity if I remember correctly . Now there is only a concrete plinth where it once stood . Over all it is probably a good thing it has gone , people would pull over and park badly to use it , plus it encouraged drug dealers to hang around .

WA - as soon as I got to the stage where I felt it was dangerous, I did pull over and clear it. Whilst I was on the motorway I could see allt he other cars, and the lane markings, so that was ok. The thing I couldn't see was the signs for the place to turn off, which was different.
