I would surely support that. I do believe oyu can actually just put it there
Why do I perpetually need more sleep than I get at the moment?

We at the Library of Doom have a meeting later this morning. No, actually, we have a Meeting. It is to be attended by someone from Human Resources and a Union representative - is it just us, or does that sound somewhat ominous?
My work computer is like Ben's, my home computer has holes that are more readily accessible.

Well, it does imply there is about to be some kind of change - hard to tell what kind, though...
for David - oh, and Sol *curious*

Best of luck for today Sol.
David, I've had a meeting like that a couple of years ago. The technical staff in the faculty were going to be reorganised. In the intervening 2 years I've not done anything different for my job, who I work with, who asks me to do jobs and so on. Yet I've been reorganised. Contrast this with all the departmental/faculty admin staff at the university who have been comprehensivly reorganised. So much so that it has taken till now to work out who is supposed to be doing what for who and when.
Still snow and ice at home, none in the big city. More forecast for later this evening and tomorrow though.

[mr] <------currently severely tested by students who just can't seem to understand that 4-5 pages doesn't mean 2. And analyzing a speech in a Shakespeare play requires them to actually, oh, quote the play.

Anyone got any smart suggestion how to abbreviate the word 'reservation' using maximum 5 letters and yet be easy to understand? *tears hair*

I wonder if this could help "rsvn" .

Titania (gone for lunch) Posted Feb 4, 2009
Thanks, but I decided to use 'rsrv' (it's for room reservation)

*crossed fingers* for Sol, and *hugs* for those as need them.
Whew, that was quite a backlog. Blue mohair pants, here I come!
I need to sit down and actually do the sums properly, but going purely on mass, I got an eighty percent yield in my experiment last week. Very exciting.
It's somewhat overshadowed by the fact that we're supposed to have been doing a group project for the past week ready to take it into the labs tomorrow, and I've heard nothing. I have a sinking feeling they've been doing it without me.

Having checked my emails, I've been maligning them. They hadn't managed to get started yet, because of difficulties in arranging a meeting with the supervising professor. The meeting finally got arranged yesterday, according to an email ent out at 9PM - which I've only just seen - and I should have been in a meeting two hours ago. Carp, carp, carp, trout, flounder!

WHY? The table of critical values that i need to complete both my methods worksheet and my lab report is not online! WHY? do they want us to just make up the critical values? Arrrggh the staff at this uni are a wee bit useless sometimes!

Can't wait for Sol to post and explain herself!
Right then, does anybody need anything from the chemist (pharmacist)? Today's excursion is to pick up my Rx and if anybody needs anything to relieve the pain of, well, doing things to their computer, I can pick up Vaseline or... TCP.

*sends and crossed limbs to all that requested or need them*
My wrist is a tiny bit sore this morning, possibly because I finally got the tattoo I've been planning for the better part of three years on it yesterday.
In other news, I'm hoping to hear back on the scheduling of a face-to-face interview for the job for which I had two phone interviews sometime in the next two days. I guess I should hold on to a little of that for myself as well.
*sips *
