Is John Cale the same as J.J. Cale?

Briefly, we watched a couple of numbers and then went on our way to see more music and happenings. He does a mean version of Heartbreak Hotel that we saw.
A couple of other 'youngsters' on the bill that we caught would have been Solomon Burke, resplendent in red on his grand throne and Eddie Grant, positive reggae in the sunshine.

I'm now doing West Side Story next month. Not as a Jet or a Shark, as I'm too old for that, but as Doc. Which, really, I'm too young for! So...three concerts in July, six performances of West Side Story in August, six performances of Titanic in November and an oratorio in December. That should keep me out of trouble!

David, you have an even busier schedule than usual. Your feathers will be drooping. I love West Side Story. Wish I could see you in it.

Wow the 92Xth was a long convo wasn't it ?
I think I will slump down in a comfy chair , after doing a week of night shifts .
So the new signature what's it all about ? Well I was getting bored with 'best fishes' and in a sudden flash of inspiration decided to be a bit more ambitious . Opposite my house is a phone box and the advertisements pasted to the box are changed on a fairly regular basis . I decided to photograph the scene outside my house and link it to my signature with a little comment on what is being advertised at the time . I was thinking of it more as a social comment than a free plug for what ever is being advertised . [ this is sounding more kooky as it goes along doesn't it ! ] Also it will be possible to see the changes of the seasons and different weather conditions . I hope you like it .
Today the the phone box says 'Kung Fu Panda'

Good job on the scribe, d'E!
Well, we had an absolutely lovely July 4th. We grilled asparagus, zucchini, and salmon... yum! And then topped off the evening with alcoholic watermelon and root beer floats. And tequila.
I've decided that the vodka-soaked watermelon is okay, but it would be even better if we soaked pineapple slices in coconut rum, for instance. The grilled asparagus kicked major tookus.
