Happy birthday fg! Here's a small wormhole to the interesting food emporium of your choice.

Good evening all! I appear to be a little late in joining the birthday celebrations, but my congratulations accompany me nevertheless. I've been castigated, not to say, er, gently reprimanded for failing to reappear. Truly, I haven't felt neglected, although somewhat shy at bursting in unannounced; additionally I've had technological woes beyond imagining, and am only now beginning to regain my whatever it was that held me together. Not only that, but I now have Vista. Could life be more threatening than that, I wonder?
That's more than enough to spoil the party spirit, which wasn't my intention at all, of course. I just felt that Stockholm (where the tar comes from????) should hear of my possibly unwelcome presence. Anyway, I've just re-read the preamble, and I don't think I'm qualified. Don't push, I'm going.
HicDig.

Happy Birthday FG!
Here's your... where's it gone now? Ah, there it... nope... I'll find it eventually.

AH HA!

It's a Box of Mislaying... It partially exists in the same dimensional space as odd socks, lost glasses and elusive tickets. It's very good if you want to hide something, but want to allow tantalising corner-of-the-eye glimpses of it. When you want to actually find the item, you just take the box by surprise as I demonstrated earlier.

Oh gawd. There's a couple upstairs reciting lines from movies as they tour. Reality has no hold on them. And then HE dropped his sunglasses across a photosensor in the Masonic Hall and set off the alarm just as I was welcoming a party of 9 into the front room.

Hopefully they're lines from movies about Billy the Kid.

hicdig, unqualified for what? For random silliness with the occasional foray into the a) macabre, b) politics, c) media, both old and new (add others as you will)? Cuz frankly, if you're underqualified for that, we ALL are.

Matina, a fresh cinnamon bun still warm from the oven and a large glass of cold chocolate please...

Can anyone tell me why I got up before 8 o'clock this morning? I have the week off work and was up late after the first night of the show, so it really wasn't necessary.

WanderingAlbatross - Wing-tipping down the rollers of life's ocean. Posted Mar 5, 2008
Well I arrived at the Salon at my usual time and it was locked. Tried picking the lock but that was as much use as picking my nose. So took myself off in a harrumph, pulled by a team of grumpy camels. Anyway they've gone their own way and I'm back.
Mornin All Grey and cloudy which is a change from a wonderful bright but cold evening out on the fields with the

Personally, I've found that the best way to go back to sleep if I wake up early on a day off is to have a hearty breakfast and then go back to bed - nothing like a full tummie to make you fall asleep!
