I've finally defeated the backlog!
*climbs a large heap of sawdust and plants a flag in the top*
Hello life and Zonker . Welcome to the Atelier.
s for fg and Sol. I hate moving nests.
for Lil. I hope the Billy presentation goes well. Are you really going to be on tv?
*slips Zeppo some strips of bacon as a belated birthday present*
Today I was going to go to the Yorkshire Sculpture Park at Wakefield but it's hard to get there by public transport at the best of times, and impossible on a bank holiday apparently, so I've had to abandon that idea. Instead, I read the backlog and after lunch I'm going to go to the Henry Moore Institute in the centre of Leeds (which I can get to be ).
[Missed the story again!]

I haven't read through any backlog yet, so i won't comment on anything, but i will do soon, i hope.

I love weddings.
Someone elses of course. I don't want to have a lot of them myself. I am not Liz Taylor pretending to be a librarian from the middle of nowhere. Honest.
[What story? What plot?]
Asteroid Lil - Offstage Presence Posted Aug 25, 2003
Welcome, Zonker! Marv will show you round the amenities, I'm sure, but do check the link from A304354 and have a look at the floor plan and additional backstory!
Marv and Zonker both, that wedding sounded like an emotionally fulfilling experience. Not only shared romance but a chance to play on a construction site! What more could a boy want?
I expect to be printing things for the talk, most of today. And I have no idea whether I will be on television. I would rather delay that experience until I've given the talk another time; when I have more practise at it, I mean.

Went for a saunter round Winkworth Arboretum and must go back in a few weeks to see the autumn colours, there are loads of maples under the ancient oaks, so should look stunning. Whilst eating our picnic lunch I made friends with a dear little who was sitting on one of the tables.
On the way back we thought we would avoid Godalming town centre as it was busy when getting there. Which means up and down hill on single track roads, but I need the clutch control practise on the new car. We came across road closure and diverted traffic signs, which led us straight into a village fete! Found out that the turning circle is really tight and didn't make a complete of myself in turning round. It is really nice car to drive.
Time for and biccies.

The Henry Moore Institute was closed - as was the art gallery.
And it rained.

Hmm... that is very exciting news. What an opportunity that will be... I wonder which codecs they'll use. Probably real. Ugh.

Good morning, all! I looked at two apartments (both hovel-ish) this weekend and called on several others. Today I'm looking at a place on my lunchtime and another after work. I'm taking heart in the fact I've only been hunting for five days and have already found places.

Marv & Z, sounds like a lovely time.
This week is all about catching up on my summer to do list. Good thing I wasn't too terribly ambitious about making the list up!

Very impressed by that BBC archive thing. I am personally hoping for the Panarama programme on Spaghetti trees and the Tomorrow's World on the wonders of string.

a girl called Ben Posted Aug 25, 2003
Back from a long weekend away, following a long week here. And I am going to make no attempt to catch up with the backlog.
Briefly, I have spent the last 10 days or so being my PL's driver, first here in the UK, and then in the Frozen North. (Not so frozen at the moment. It is in fact in the midst of a glorious late summer, and an achingly lovely place to be).
These 10 days have been physically, mentally and it must be said, emotionally draining.
I find myself wondering why I don't have a husband, a garden, two teenage children, a garden, a dog and a couple of cats. At the moment, it sounds like utter bliss.
How can one have moments of great joy and deep pleasure in the midst of so much confusion and (I have to say) great sadness?
No matter. Another busy week coming up, including the Girls Night Out for selected researchers on Wednesday.
