Right then a bit more of what happened on the tour is in a journal entry on my page if anyone is interested.

I've found http://www.distrowatch.com to be a good resource for comparing various Linux distributions, but it is cluttered and disorganized like Linux itself.
I thought I might try turning some wine into vinegar, since that seems easier than giving home brew a try.

Well, I've pretty much finished rebuilding my life after realising that my game plan had failed to take into account that little thing called reality (I'm a terrible chess player too). It's galling to realise that you have been incredibly stupid.
Still, it's all quite energising one way or the other. I have a new (or rather old) career direction now, and it should be a giggle seeing if I can get that to work, and seeing if I can continue my metioric collection of qualifications and management experience which will allow me to be paid approximately the same as your average dishwasher, although that's a bit better than being paid what I would be if I didn't have them. I have resigned myself to being dirt poor in London. I shall pretend that I am in a foreign country and stop panicing that I won't ever be able to afford a 200 000 pound dog kennal. I shall buy back my national insurance contributions (did you know you can pay while you are abroad? I didn't). I shall get a pension (which will probably be worthless by the time I retire), and confidently assume that property prices in Moscow will pick up (they can't actually go down, unless we crash again).
I shall, in short, stop panicing. Gods, I need to go back to work.

d'E, I make herbal vinegars and put them in brown bottles with cute little ceramic bale lids. I like the bottles bettter than the vinegar.
Caer, how's Cassie? Has she forgiven you?
102ยบ predicted for today. I'm looking forward to snow.

Deep breaths there Sol. I'm sure it will all work out.
Oh, and Phil, sounds like a great brewery tour, certainly larger than the one Toc gave me.

Well, Dad's freezer is defrosted and I was right to vote for Arnos Val in Tuesday's Restoration programme as I had many relatives buried there, as I suspected. Dad reeled them off to me
I was very good and set the cruise control to 69 mph on the A3 and 50mph at the relevent stretches. But coming home, it was too much of a temptation as the road was fairly traffic free. However I didn't do the full ton as it is a full ban if you are stopped and I had better stick to cruise control in future.
Cassie had 3 injections and a worming tablet. She was growling so loudly the nice lady vet couldn't hear Cassie's heart or lungs through the stethoscope and decided that checking her temperature might be risking a limb . Cassie is now chasing and appears to have forgotten her ordeal.

Well, I'm very good at extricating myself from tricky corners, Munchers. Which is great cos I have to be. And in truth, I'm feeling much calmer now than I was about a week ago. Ask B. But then what are husbands for if you can't collapse in hysterics on them occassionally?

You wanted a brewery tour Munchkin?
You seemed to be wary to come through the door.
I shall drag you in next time then!

Site is slow as molasses and all the graphics are missing. But one thing about this story-header game, it makes it dead easy to find your way around the thread!

Wasn't the bread maker stolen and someone wrote that the breadmaker was Matina?

This is going to be a slow day. I have to address some of the remaining cases in my backlog, and then be bored till 1630 when I go get the final fitting for the tux for this weekends wedding. Then it is off to the bachelor party for fun games and alcohol!
it is going to be a slow long day as all of our volume is gone to India now.

Crappy day for me here. I was notified last night that my landlady wants her entire house back to herself and no longer need the extra income from renting out the lower level, and I'd best start looking for another place to live. She gave me until November 1st, but I pled poverty and played the sympathy card to get an extension. She, to her credit, was upset that I was so upset and sympathized with my situation. In a college town with an extremely high cost-of-living it will take me awhile to find a place in my income range that will allow my Lucy. I'm postively sick over this...

for fg. You may end up better off in the end, though, so don't feel too bad - wait and see where you end up.
