Hi and welcome, dna! So between the cushion prodding and Marv's intro we finally lured you out. Very good.
*High fives Marv.*

Hi dna. Nice to have you out of the ether. Good job Marv.

Welcome to the atelier, dna! I deduce you've been lurking, so you're pretty familiar with the place. It's about time you spoke up.
I hope I have enough curtains in this SALON *glares at useless hound * for all the lurkers to hide comfortably. Perhaps an arras or two would improve conditions for them.
It's been pretty hot here in the mountains. I keep the house closed up, Mediterranean style, until about 10 pm. And sit in the office with the air conditioner.
But autumn will be here in just a couple of months.

Thank you all for the cool welcome. (adjective modified for the season. I'd rather have a cool welcome in the summer and a warm welcome in the winter)
I think there should be a pool to see how long it takes Courtesy to realize I've posted. With as much hassle as I've gotten for lurking, he should have noticed by now.

dna, welcome...and don't be a stranger. Will I meet you at your brother's housewarming party, or are you out of OC?

* Realizing I made certain assumptions about Montana Redhead because of her name *
Warming houses is a specialty of mine. I will definitely be there. Look for me near the BBQ, the ice chest, or any place in between. Just look for the person who look the least like Courtesy and you'll find me, no problem.

Ah, a family reunion. Remember Courtesy, I will do everything in my power, even if it means knocking over a 7-Eleven, to be there for your housewarming. And that includes riding a bloody airplane.
Again, welcome to the salon dna. Very glad to have you here at last.
Been to see Terminator 3 again with a buddy, as well as getting off teh phone with another. My friends are calling me out of the blue tonight. I wonder how many more I will hear from before I can get to sleep.

Hi dna!
Before going to bed last night we raided the freezer for the wine cooling jackets and put them on over our wrists, bliss....
Then over our toes .....
I shall wash them thoroughly beore refreezing the jackets.
It clouded over quickly this morning and we have already had one downpour, but no thunder, yet. Still very warm and humid.
Cassie spent the night outside and reappeared for brekkie demanding tummy and strokes.

Thanks all
Here there has been much wind overnight and so far this morning and some sort of mist/haze that is obscuring the local hills (one only about a mile away is just partly visible). Normaly that kind of visibility happens when it's raining round here.

It's still sunny and hot this side of the Pennines.
The inspection turned out to be just a gas appliances inspection. I have been certified as safe, apparently .
For the rest of the day I have paperwork to do and then the I have an appointment for the second attempt at the ritual blood letting this afternoon. .

Thankfully I've never had problems with letting have my blood but it does seem some nurses are better at it than others.

Ohhh blood rubbs arm.. I've been putting off a blood test for months, because I know that it's horrible..
Still remember when they learnt to take blood you pratice on each other.. that hurts more!

Phew - today is no exception, just as warm (possibly even warmer) than the last couple of days... I guess it was a bit thoughtless of me not to put the butter package into a plastic bag before stuffing it into my backpack, but I really thought that the ice-cold water bottles straight from the fridge would keep it from melting before I got home... *muttering under her breath, sits down to clean the inside of her backpack from melted butter*
