if the car has personality, how can you not name it?

*chucks a very small cushion at Amy*
The menfolk think it is very girlie to name a car, but I'm sure I shall manage to sneak one in
I have been phoning around the scrapyards to find a hub disc for the Black Beauty, but no-one has one. I said to one bloke that if they are hard to come by, it explains why mine was nicked, so he suggested that I go and do the same

Yes, another vote here for naming the car.
Did Zeppo have any anxiety problems from being kenneled? We left my Annie once and it took a couple of weeks to calm her down and reassure her.
My eyes aren't focusing again. I couldn't read the paper this morning and this screen is a blur. I hate it when this happens.

I need a beer and some sleep. It was a long and restless night.

I've just got chatting to one of my new neighbours, she popped round to ask about rubbish and moan about the landlord and found out we get on really well, she keeps tropical as well. That's not meant to happen in cities is it? talking to your neighbours!

I've only talked to my neighbours on two occasions since I moved back here, once when I was digging over the front garden (all two feet of it) and once when I took a pair of boltcutters to the back shed.
Oh, and hello all. I shall once again attempt to follow this for a while.

Blue Moon? If someone asks if you go somewhere you really shouldn't, you can say "Yes, once in a Blue Moon".
And I have just slayed the backlog
I have caught up!

That remind me of the late Beryl Reid, a doyenne of comedy who called one of her cats Dimly, so that she could see 'I can see Dimly'. Well, it was funny when she said it.
Nice to see you, Munch *waves*.

I went out with a guy in college (early seventies) that had named his car. It was an early sixties era sky blue Chevy Impala convertible with fins. He called it Lola. Lo-lo-lo-lo-lola.

I refuse to name vehicles. It is bad enough that I anthropomorphise them enough that I see malice in their actions (breaking down at the worst possible time etc.) I can't allow them to become even more human by assigning them a name.

Name the car!
Blue Angel?
Hey Munchers, look like you're getting here as often as I am!
Hello everyone, it's a work crunch. The annual pageant is coming up, and I've decided that a sure-fire seller will be a card collection of Billy and the Wannabes, which would be a great name for a rock group. I have two good wannabe pictures (images that MIGHT be Billy but have no provenance), my own Billy, and the Upham tintype, and I can throw in pictures of Sam Dedrick and Fred Waite to round out the collection. No Pat Garrett.
Anyway, between that and learning my way around lighting and making time for watercolouring, and leaving my computer alone to do big Mojoworld renders, I am dancing full tilt. Please forgive my bad manners as a hostess for not being here in the morning as usual. Once the heat breaks I won't need to go straight across to the studion any more.
Z, was that your FIRST lesson?
Here's a quick quiz. How many times did it take for you to pass your driving test? In the US I got mine on the first go, but in Birmingham (England) it took 4 attempts.

I passed the both the written and road tests first time out. But I was so scared of driving that it took me three months past my 17th birthday to apply for my permit.
