Had to call the ambulance to take Frank to the hospital. Pulmonary edema. His blood oxygen was down to 46% when we got him there and he was blue. He's in ICU, has a breathing tube and they are draining fluid. He was ok one minute and couldn't breathe the next. Very scary. I came home to get the pets fed and safely inside, take a shower and change clothes. I'm on my way back over there.

Oh, this happened at the dentist's office. If he had been home alone he would have died. How often is it that going to the dentist saves your life?

How frightening for you! Hope he's doing better, and I'm sending good thoughts your way.



My echo was fine, as I knew it would be unless I'm having an episode. Hopefully, the cardiologist will find something. Or at least put me on a beta blocker.

Phil, good news about the interview

When H was in A&E following his accident, he told the surgeon htat he had had suffered from IBS and the surgeon said there was no such thng is was just a way of making money out of people.

Which is odd as it was what he was told 6 years ago in the same hospital by the surgical team Registrar when admitted for stomach pain!

The main treatment for diverticulitis (wonderful word when said with a Geordie accent) is fibre, in the diet and Fibrogel a thick orange solution that is quite hard to swallow. Loads of water too to lubricat all that fibre!
