Ottox, I saw somewhere that he's back in circulation -- oh, right, on OTD. I wonder if he'll stop by here?

I had a talk with Phil (the professor) and explained to him that I don't think it's right for him to change grades without at least talking to me first. He seemed relatively amenable, but I am also going to talk to my two advisors, and see what they think, since *I* think I will have to take some proactive measures to protect my reputation in the department.
It seems odd that after the rush of last week, I have absolutely nothing to do today but read.

I took today off of work, consequently I shall be using my ultra secret AIM name icmpechorequest should any like to get hold of me.
I am in a conundrum, in that I cannot quit my current place of employ without something else lined up. The trouble is that finding anything that will match my current wage is proving difficult. I cannot halve my pay and expect to manage. The job market sucks and my job sucks.

That sounds terrible, Marv. I wish I could do something to help.
Sea, I've been there, too. I think making a sign is a good idea.
Lil, you're right, stupid people are no fun to be around, but so far as I can tell they make up the majority on this planet.

Somebody hacked my computer and stole my internet time. Am I terminally underprotected, or is this somewhat unusual?
Other than that. On the national stage, Paul MacCartney is playing Red Square later this week, and boy are we enjoying having a furore about it. And laughing at the little booklets of handy English phrases that have been given to the police for Petersburg's 300th.
But locally, mostly I am sweltering as our building is very very hot. And airless.
Hey, Marv, that's pants. Career change looking more likely?
Whatever else, MT, I think it's terrible that professor changed the grades after the students saw them. I mean, wow. Mind you, it's not so bad to have a reputation as a tough marker. I would have been worse if he'd been moving them down.

Irv - for years I have been thinking about starting a discrimination claim against stupid people for creating a hostile working environment. The majority of people are stupid, thus smart people are a minority, thus making smart people deal with stupid people creates a hostile work environment
My Personal Life is in the can .... I feel that something major will have to be done in the next several weeks, and I'm avoiding having to do it. Oh well, there's a difference between being alone and being lonely. Thanks for listening.
