Ha! Toccata wins the mug by a whinge! OK, I'll set up the new thread right soon, and then, unless any new wars break out, we should be able to go back to the more manageable conversations.
*Chloe goes shyly over to Toccata carrying a maple presentation box, and gives the box to the winner*

I'd have been here earlier, but I was having the same problems as the rest of you. I knew I had no chance to be around for post 4242 when I went to bed last night...
*notices Ampton still there, evidently having some sort of internal conversation* I need to be more mindful of your individuality, Ampton. I get so used to having to tell the rest of the bots what to do. You can help Matina clean up from our barbeque, if you like. Whatever.
I have a problem with a lot of modern art, too. One of my teachers tells me that I have come back to art at the right time, because when I was in college it just wasn't fashionable to do representational art, it all had to be abstract or clever, for lack of a better word. But representational art IS making a comeback. Oh, the tyranny of the soup can. I've never liked ~anything~ by Warhol.

I'm Ned Flanders. But none of the other possibilities were appealing either. And they are all male characters.

My Dads' still bitter that he didn't win the John Moores prize, becuase his entry was 'too figerative'. But he's also convinced that the reason he wasn't successful in the 1970s because he is hetrosexual, and at the time the David Hockey was fashionable, (his main work at the time was naked women)...
There was a nude he painted in the late 70 on our living room wall all through my childhood, during my teenage years, our friends used to say it was cheaper than buying pornography. Two years ago i found out it was my mother

I've got today's Featured Article artwork.
And sorry, I know virtually nothing of the Simpsons, so this quiz goes right over my head...

Lil, I used to have a painted gourd. It had a folk art scene - barn, fence, cows, chickens, farm house, and people seated at a picnic table having lunch. I got it at the Kansas State Fair. And I had a gourd birdhouse. Both finally got ratty and I tossed them. If I had kept them inside they probably would have lasted longer.

Ntl this end of the country seems to be working remarkably well these days. The only real delays are when the new IP address gets allocated daily.
I was Dr Nick too, but I really want to be Marge.
Just forwarded 4 units to Seti today The current project draws to a close later this year, then they hope to scan the Southern Hemisphere for signals.

I'm waiting for the guy from the bank to come by so I can do the paperwork for my daughter's college fund.
Can I nap now, please?

Argh. I have to figure out OSPF routing on the fly for a case I am working on. I really wish I had been able to sit the training on it.
