I didn't mean to imply I *had* a Dell--only the giddy goofiness that goes along with those commercials. smiley - cross

On an entirely unrelated note, MR and I went to lunch at a local joint called the Hob Nob Cafe. They feature a wonderful item--sweet potato french fries. If you are anywhere near such a thing, I highly recommend that you try them.

Asteroid Lil - Offstage Presence

smiley - geek I have 512 MB of RAM on a machine with a 1.7 GB processor.

*cracks open an Obscure Canadian beer and slumps down on a sofa* And I wasted two hours and 25 dollars worth of supplies this evening by printing a page with one of the layers wrongly positioned, 4 copies. 11 X 17. William Turner 190lb archival paper. smiley - grr I'm not doing any more tonight.

In the quest to figure out what was bothering Photoshop, I cleaned out the temp files in Windows and discovered a little javascript in with all the cookies that will not delete. If it's there tomorrow I'm opening in Safe Mode and going after it.

And there are a huge number of cached images from HooToo in my temp file!!

Well, at least I got a lot of canvases gessoed while the printer was running.

smiley - geek That should be enough memory, Lil smiley - biggrin. I take back my memory theory. It must just be Photoshop having a funny moment.

All our PCs and mail server are Dell. Their customer service isn't what it used to be, but the PCs generally still work the first time they are plugged in and switched on.

It's pity our Company doesn't have shares or a commission because most of the multi nationals whose networks we've designed and sorted, have bought Dell on our advice. All those work too, it's just the people using them, which includes me smiley - silly

A new Poldark novel YAY! Winston Graham is 92, but he has managed to produce the final one in the saga. Although it is only hardback at the mo, I think I shall treat myself to it anyway. It is time to read them all over again!

I do hope PWM is ok and not suffering from the stomach bug that is now spreading through HM's forces in the hot and dusty place.

Munchkin

[Munchkin]
I dug out my litre stein last night, filled it full of Pilsner Urquell and watched Buffy and Angel. Quite the best night I've had in ages. However tonight is Star Wars, but I doubt I'll be able to take my stein with me.

For Bee if she finds the time to drop by:

Happy May 17th!smiley - bubbly

I experienced May 17th in Stavanger (Norway) once, and it was quite overwhelming...

...in Sweden you hardly notice the national day - it's not even a holiday, even if there has been discussions about that...

...but in Norway *everyone* goes out in the streets, and there are celebrations, parades, flags, orchestras and choires, parade floats - it's just amazing!smiley - bigeyes

Oh, and Munchkin - don't bother to send the thunderstorm over here - we had rain yesterday afternoon, and it just started raining again right now!

I went for a walk yesterday after the rain, and I thought 'Dust - look at all the Dust in the puddles' (only it wasn't Dust of course, but pollen)

Just back from my favourite grocers, couldn't see any unusually coloured veg, but after the scorchio day yesterday there were some unusually coloured customers! The place was practically aglow with red noses smiley - winkeye
