Have you brought any obscure Canadian beer with you? *looks hopeful* I really hoarded the last lot but it was all gone a long time ago.
It's so good to have you back, even if we're not likely to see you again till after the weekend -- have you been having a good life?

*wakes with a start after dozing on her ottoman*
Obscure Canadian Beer? But I'd never return emptyhanded, Lil...
*rummages in her bag of tricks^ and withdraws two six-packs of longnecked bottles, plain brown in colour, with labels bearing simply the word "Beer". she rummages again, and comes up with a bottle of Luksosowa potato vodka. heads for the kitchen and puts the beer in the fridge, the bottle in the freezer*
I'm afraid the company I've kept at school has turned me into something of a vodka snob...
This is probably some of the best I've tried, though. Potato vodka is quite nice. Rather sweetish.
I hope to be on a bit tomorrow, but yes: I leave in the afternoon and will be back on Sunday evening. I must catch up with everyone at some point...
*yawns*
Sigh. I really ought to go to bed...I still must finish unpacking. Then finish packing. And I've work at nine...*shudders*
'Night, all. Til morning...
*saunters off to her old room; is heard rustling and scuffling about, rearranging things. Dio scampers down the hall after*
^The Bag Of Tricks, Explained:
A drab-olive-green army-type rucksack, with fake leopard fur trim, and a shoulder strap covered copiously with pins and buttons. Don't be fooled by its small size: it houses a time/space anomaly, constructed along the lines of a wormhole, allowing her to store Infinite Amounts Of Stuff, and to retrieve said Stuff at will. She doesn't mind your having a peep, to satisfy your scientific curiosity, but be careful. You never know quite what you're going to find in there, from tubes of cherry chapstick to bricks of C4..)

Hmmm somebody else with interdimensional pockets
There was an article in my paper this morning, Sainsbury's, my favourite grocers, are introducing a purple carrot (weren't we talking some time ago about purple food?). Or reintroducing as the carrot was originally purple before Dutch growers in the 16thC crossed it with an orange mutant.
I do hope PWM isn't afflicted with the enteric flu that has hit HM's troops in Afghanistan.

Titania (gone for lunch) Posted May 16, 2002
Yet another sunny day - and I was hoping for a thunder storm and rain last night - but the black clouds were just passing...
Potato vodka? Hmmmm... *drifting off towards library to brush off vodka knowledge*

We've been eating mutant carrots?
*sips carrot and apple juice with a hint of ginger (from Marks and Spencer)*

Purple carrots!? I assume they do not help you see in the dark then.
T, according to the forecast this morning, the Thunderstorms are expected over here on Friday, so they may get to you after that.

Apparently they're also bringing out green, red and black carrots too. I shall eat these without hesitation.

I don't care for the looks of the purple carrot. They're very cruddy looking, more so than a potato.

*pads down the hallway, late enough for work that she doesn't have to hurry ...*
Purple carrots indeed? I've seen blue potatoes, though the insides are quite ordinary. Are carrots related to beets, since beets are purple. And a parsnip is like an anaemic carrot...
Ah, doesn't affect me, alas -- I'm allergic to carrots whatever the colour...
Titania: potato vodka's quite good. I discovered it through a friend of mine who has difficulty consuming wheat products, so any grain-based alcohol is out. But she can drink as much potato vodka as she likes...within *reason*...
*acquires some tea to go in a vain attempt to wake up*
Right, I'm off...hope to be back to say 'bye before I leave thisafternoon...
*heads out, wondering if df has noticed the bricks of dynasty and monarchs that she's apparently got as well...*
