Ant-sized cassocks? I suppose they could....but for what size of ant?
Lil, the new sax is great. The keys are in slightly different places which will force me to re-learn how I hold an alto-saxophone, but it wasn't too difficult to manage during the test-run that I gave it when I opened it (although I must say that I'm not altogether pleased with the mouthpiece/ligature/reed combination they shipped me. The ligature is either very shoddily put together, or extremely well put together, because I needed someone else's help to affix it properly.) I heard a breathy-tone while playing it, but I think it was because of the reed, so I should be able to easily replace it when I get to school where I keep my old beginner saxophone when I've too much homework to practice.
What I love most about it, though, is that it has a Triple-F key (called that because it can hit a note two octaves above my standard F.) I'm gonna have fun with this one, methinks.

*stops stretching the space-time continuum and lies down against a 15cm rule*
2 mm long and then I stretch myself out to about 150mm for most purposes in the Atelier. But the cassock will stretch with me.

I suppose this answers the question of whether or not cassocks are ever designed for ants to wear, then.

Ok, I have definitely, officially had enough of the wind!
No2 son was in the garage, starting to take apart the engine of his car, to get at the head gasket. He was happily engrossed in removing the distributor and cap, when the side door of the garage blew open with a particularly strong gust. The door, the supporting jamb and half the lintel came off too! It use his phrase, 'the noise it made was so loud, I hit my head on the raised bonnet and it was brown trousers time'!
There is now a gaping hole with the door and supporting structure lying against the side of the house. I am not entirely sure how H is going to take this, or how we are going to make it secure before leaving as dawn breaks on Thurs morning!
The garage must be over 40 years old, made of concrete blocks and we suspect the roof is asbestos. It is an eyesore and needs pulling down and replacing, but the last quote for a brick one was nearly £10,000!!!

Amy the Ant heroine of Democracy, perhaps we could indulge in some persona/job swapping, or an ant on teh wall perspective of life as a PWM, perhaps a documantary? Anyway, it can always get too hot, and one does miss foaming ale with twigs etc!

Well, I have officially thrown the towel in. I hired a tax preparation service this morning. For the last several years, despite being poor, I have owed gobs of money to the government. I must be doing something wrong.
Perhaps the professionals can help me cheat.
Sorry about the wind, Caer. I can take any type of cold weather, but I hate windy days.

*picks up the towel*
Perhaps a docusoap? I have the towel, now I need the soap. Will the foam from work?
*grabs camera *pulls suitcase from under the sofa*
I'm on my way, PWM! I've packed my own twigs - I'm an experienced traveller.

Glad to hear the new tablets are working, just puzelled about how they make the small enough for an ant to swallow
On the wind front I see we are in need of yet more fence panels at the flats where I live
and
Despite the presence of Sprouts on the menu in the railtrack canteen today I don't belive all this wind is my fault

I'm not an anemometer , but I do work with wind. I'm a wind engineer. We test buildings and bridges, etc. in a wind tunnel to see what loads they have to be designed to stand up to.

Thanks for the MT and the commisserations,FG. Instead of going out for a pizza tonight we shall be trying to manhandle the door, door jamb and lintel back into place when H gets home, its all too heavy for No2 son and I to do.
I can see I shall be going to B&Q tomorrow for some readymix quickset concrete to try and 'glue' it all back together. That is the one big drawback to w*rking from home, I end up doing all the running around!
I was going to do my packing, varnish my nails etc all in a leisurely fashion whilst going a bit of w*rk here and there and now I'm going to be rebuilding the side of the garage instead!
Heigh ho.

I want to know why Garius can't keep the wind in the tunnel where it belongs. You should be held accountable for Caer's garage door!
Yesterday this time it was over 70 degrees: today it's barely 30, with a wind chill to factor in. I'm staying in.
PWM, if revival meetings ever take you near Holloman or Hicks (I think, at El Paso) I insist you look me up.
There was indeed an earthquake of some kind this morning. I tried to access this thread and it just didn't exist, at the time.
And now I have to get back to working on the website revamp.
Key: Complain about this post
