Underwear; the bigger the better!
Congrats with the opening seremony, Marv! It was nice enough, but I hope the next host will come up with a new idea, this one has been done to bits!
The location looks nice! I like the open space, and I bet it looks great in the summertime with all the grass.
I am not particularly fond of my 90-year old grandma. She has never been particulary nice, so there we are... You can't expect to be loved and respected if you don't love and respect back. I will visit her on her birthday next week though. Can't pass up a chance to get some , can we?

Isn't Belize where The Mosquito Coast takes place?
*notes gratefully that Matina has stopped baking further mbougatses just as she hears a decisive pecking at the window*
Aha, here comes Pierrot. *opens the window and lets in the parrot, who heads directly for the kitchen, grabs a slice of mbougatse in one claw and settles on top of the fridge*
Awk! Where's the wolf! Cry wolf!

Random change of subject that I think works here:
Has anyone but me noticed that you can argue with someone /completely/ and /relevantly/ by using lines from punk songs...?
I mean, is there, in existance, a better retort than "when you like something, it's an oppinion, but then /I/ like something, it's a manifesto?" or "Pomposity is when you always /think/ you're right. Arrogance is when you /know/." or "You suck, I'm walking away."
...I love indy bands...

Grockles get everywhere don't they? Of course I am never included in their numbers
At least you always have a good excuse, Sol, to come home Just nipped in today to top the undies drawer up and look through the new season's lines.
I haven't heard of the 24-Seven, where's that?

Sol Posted Feb 11, 2002
My knickers are definately unseemly as I haven't been home for over a year... And that is quite enough on that subject, Sol. Shush up, for every ones sake.

Thanks for posting the link, Titania. That reminds me, I'd better update that page. The Web Bug Races have been over for ages.

d'E, no! Did you really have to clarify my cryptic message before everyone?
Lil, glad you found the links helpful.
I did talk about the meet briefly after I got back. In fact, I stated that I'd write a report on it, but I haevn't got round to it and probably won't.

I just set up a web page with pictures of the Catwood Vinnie project at http://www.asterlil.com/misc/projects/catwood.htm -- not very good photos, I'm afraid, but the whole thing was way too big to scan.

punk isnt indie, dear
we have a grockle baiting society at school. lots of old buildings, see?
here are some of the best:
'there is an authentic inscription by william of wykeham from the 13th century in this room'...40 odd french people are then locked in a room for 40 minutes until a janitor lets them out
or you run across the top of chapel tower screaming while carrying a water melon wrapped in a jacket. then chuck it off the building. it looks like a suicide
one i dont recommend is being spanked wearing nothing but a jockstrap and handcuffs. i dont know how this baits grockles, but its been done...

Wow Lil!! Just looked at your link! Amazing!
It's been a beautiful spring-like day here in Sowerby Bridge. After the rain finally eased off (seemed to have been pouring constantly for days) the sun came out and I was able to walk about outside without a jacket! According to the BBC it's 12 degrees C ATM.
The River Calder, which I can see from the window here, is flowing faster than I've seen it for ages....earlier on I was watching the ducks trying to swim....poor things, they'd cautiously step in, then immediately get swept downstream, and hastily scramble for the bank as quick as they could! But they kept trying!
The Calder and Hebble canal (which runs parallel just beside the river at this point) is almost overflowing in some places.
Luckily my house, though it is very close to the river and canal, is on higher ground, so little danger of flooding.........thank goodness.
::sits back in chair and dreams of spring days to come.....::

*Looks around helplessly.*
I don't know anything about punk or grockles.
But I know when I see talent. Lil, Catwood Vinnie is gorgeous!

On the subject of knicker-tossing (at Engelbert or Tom or anyone else), has anyone else ever wondered if these are the undergarments that these ladies have been wearing all evening (hence *used*) or are they nice fresh ones picked up at the store before the concert?
Just curious.
