Hubby went with him b-17, but they were going to get parts for both their cars so I got a reprieve this time!
Funny, though when my car needs something, it has to wait till it goes in for a service
The roads here get gritted so heavily at the faintest sign of frost, at least a decent snow fall would justify the expense!
A friend on mine lived in Minneapolis for several years and hates snow with a vengence. But all her horror stories haven't put me off.
However if I was subjected to those sort of winters it would soon cure me I'm sure!
I do thing Christmas should be really cold or really hot and not the grey damp affairs we normally have here.

AH, a good reprieve, C
I agree, I wish we could have either one extreme or the other for xmas, not the damp inbetween. However this year it will not affect me as I am nightshift 24-26th Dec, and will see little if nothing of the festivities. A very xmas it will be indeed.
Well, time to snuggle down until tomorrow again.

Montana Redhead (now with letters) Posted Oct 6, 2001
Well hello, all!!!!!
Been a week, let me tell you...lots of stuff going on, etc. I think maybe I've taken on a bit too much....
Lil, a few days ago you asked for a description. Well, let's see....
Montana Redhead...witty, opinionated, a bit of a control freak, and definitely a redhead! A semi-graduate student of History with a propensity towards the dark underbelly of our past.
Well, that ought to do it.
I promise I will never stay away for 4 days again. The backlog is unwieldy!

Munchkin Posted Oct 6, 2001
[Munchkin, still officially in the cupboard]
Currently having a tea of mince, tatties and a bottle of Bishop's Finger. Can life get any better
Oh and Chris, I didn't eat the guy, my creature did it out of boredom! Anyhoo, I'm well past that bit now and am currently struggling with an extreme wood shortage.

*attempts to make friends with the rat by offering it some food*
Here you go, um, Styx. Don't bite, please...

Styx is very fond of pork pies, Arl. And to drink he likes ginger ale with two cocktail cherries. I really wouldn't expect him to bite you. He is a very civilized rat.

Titania (gone for lunch) Posted Oct 6, 2001
Well, I have to admit that there can be a bit of snow chaos in the south of Sweden (where I obviously don't live) and I still love a real winter with lots of snow, but actually not too cold, not since the winter when my cheeks got frost-bitten - I still have spots looking paler than the rest of my skin in my face...

Styx has a marvelous insight into human behavior...and a solid sense of humor about it, too.
Lil, my bio: Middle-aged-long-haired hippy that uses meditations and metaphysics, fasting, experiments with herbs (personal blends) in an attempt to prolong physical life (which makes me a hopeless dreamer ). Hermit.

*Desperately tries to remember where there's a wood miracle in the First World. No success.*
Haven't played B&W for ages. (Never finished it either. ) All I do know is that if your creature's eating humans out of boredom, Munchkin, you're following the path of evil.
Ok, B-17, I'll do it. Um, in a couple of years, when I /may/ take a year out between college and uni.
*Message board almost finished. Off to watch Randall & Hopkirk (Deceased).*

Chris, I think that if you lift up trees at random, sometimes there will be wood miracles under them. Been a few months since I've played, and I never beat it. My creature only ate humans when I told him to...

Black and White a game where you get to be a deity in training. You can get a critter to do your bidding. I neer finnished it either.

I am glad that I was not the only one.

Hmm... Someone must have done it at some stage, or else there wouldn't be any strategy guides. It was probably the lead developer or someone.
I only got as far as half way through the Third Land. Had endless fun chucking that lone, invincible man by the campfire around! Got loads of believers with that trick!
One thing I remember, Arl, is that fireflies fly around rocks and trees at night, and some of them change to miracles, which do indeed appear if trees are plucked from their spots.

I remember that, too. Never got much into the second world, but I've seen my brother chucking that guy around.
