LOL, I just went past your page
Cycling fiend! Sorry to hear about the dreaded GF. Bleugh. I hated it. You managed to get it twice? or is this episode a hangover from the original incident? I have to say I did enjoy the way I caught it though

I'm sure I I'll want the job then, B-17!
Yeah, I'll probably travel the world between college and uni. I'll pop up and see you then.
*Suddenly has a great idea.*
Hey! Now that's something! As my goal for my gap year, I'll journey to see all my h2g2 friends! That'll take me all over the world, give me a chance to meet all of you, and maybe earn a few units of the local currencies by mowing lawns! I'll need some serious funding for such a trip.
*Then realises that if his book's successful (note the 'if') he could do it anyway.*
*Realises he's surely only dreaming, and shuts up. *

Hehehehe. Still, not nice at the time, but at least you get a nice little reminder of the good times had aquiring it
You should come cycling in Scotland. we have some great routes.
Chris. It may well be you'll be mowing my lawn in Oz by then LOL, but naturally it will be nice to see you either way.
You have to believe you will succeed with the book, otherwise what would be the point in progressing any further. you never know it might become a cult book! And they'll have meets and conventions about it, and guest readings and signings and so forth. HAve you thought about someone for the Merchandising side yet

Passing through
I think the old Chinese? curse "May you live in interesting times" has just landed yet again for those of us in the rail industry

Oh, I've thought of lots of things for the book, for sure! I'm certainly optimistic. But in the end, I can only do my best.
The reason I don't say '/when/ my book is published' is because people come along and say: 'Yeah, right, like /that's/ gonna make it'. OK, I'll admit that those people haven't even read what's on my website yet, but hey.

Thanks, Lizzie.
Hey, but don't say you can cycle from the South coats to Scotland! If B-17 hears you, he'll send me his bike like that. *Snaps fingers to demonstrate.*

The Ear hears all Chris Mwhahahahahaha
See it can be done!
I'm impressed Lizzy. I do enjoy going out on my bike, but that's a lot of miles! You are a real cycle fiend indeed A friend of mine is very fanatical about bikes too, you are not alone
Chris, as I say, pay no heed to anyone. You believe in the book, all you need is a publisher who believes in you and can see even a small part of your vision. If they can, they can 'sell' the concept and the rest is relatively straight forward, I feel.

That's still amazing going. I mean, I only travel about 150miles a week to and from work in the car,
If I come down south to say London or Portsmouth or Poole, its normally about 900miles round trip and only about 100 miles for side trips wherever while down there. Averaging out about 64 miles a day. Wow. I still think that's impressive. I assume you have a very comfy saddle

Cycling seems to be popular around here, as the hills, although considerable, are of the rounded variety.
Chris, I'm not likely to have a lawn, but you can chop wood when you come through here, or muck out pastures. And when you're done the chores you'll get the Grand Tour.
Lizzie, read the anchor, the first post in this thread, then do your duty and supply a self-description. What B-17 said about backlog is absolutely right, but I would add, if you haven't read an atelier thread at all, read post #1 for local orientation, then do as he suggests.

LOL, I guess you do
I wish I could get used to mine. I obviously have to use the bike more. Pity the weather isn't so great just now, though I have been known to go cycling in gales recently, just to get out of the house for a while. Very invigorating
Key: Complain about this post
