I guess I should have mentioned the splendid white trousers our intrepid golfer is wearing. The TV commentators reckon his 10-gallon hat is really only a six-gallon one.

I don't believe I've ever met anyone who did, Arl. My hair has just been cut back from the longest I've ever had it. It used to hang all the way down my back, but was a royal pain. I wanted to get it cut up to chin level, but my hair stylist wouldn't do it. She took off 4-5 inches and it looks much more manicured now. It is odd though, that I can't actually see the difference myself. Other than the new addition of bangs, of course.
Red, I hated driving in traffic for the longest time too. I'm still not fond of downtown, but I'm doing ok everywhere else.
GL, I went to college at the same time my parents moved. They ended up more than 8 hours away. It was nice to have space between us, but I did miss them horribly.

Excuse me, has anyone seen my brain? I seem to have lost it somewhere, because I just posted essentially the same thought twice. And it wasn't a double post, either. If you see it...small, grayish-pink, a bit tattered on the edges, send it my way, will you?
Geez.

*Stomps up the stairs, wearing a lot of electrical gear*
Well, that takes care of that....
On the subject of college, I almost don't want to go. People have been telling me not to waste what little time I have, and I'm not gonna! No, not yet. I'll make sure that I'm remembered. Heh-heh. Yeah, they'll remember me after I'm through with them. Hee-hee. Hahahaha. Mwa-HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA
HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA
HAHAHAHAHAHA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Besides, I think I might have just a tad of trouble being labelled as "normal", don't you agree?

Well, until October, when they get the cable bill...

Details, details. Blame the bills on your sister, sea. After all, you've been at college.
Affy, I would suggest college. Not necessarily for any of the normal reasons people quote, but because you get to meet people. Networking is an important thing, even for mad geologists.
Loony, I must admit that the outfit you're describing has scared me beyond the ability to comment on it rationally.

Gw7en, check it out on TV. The tournament is currently being broadcast live all over the world. Not sure if it is ABC (ESPN), NBC or CBS in the States.

I see him now, Loony. The bright yellow of his shirt makes for a bit of a sick and wrong reverse twinkie look, doesn't it?...
And now my cable has gone out. No doubt, this is because I was using it to watch golf. Its never been put to that use here before.

To much bowing to the crowd, with his 10-gallon hat in his hand, our hero departs the final green in a most respectable 4th place.

linda is the name we've given to the little gray gasp face at the bottom right corner of every post. it's part of the BBC moderation...
imagine my parents faces when i imply that my sister's been watching pay-per-view at noon on wednesday, when she SHOULD be at school!
nah, i won't have to blame her. they won't mind me watching it.
affy, i think you should go to college... if nothing else, you meet tons of people. just like G7 said.

plus, a degree in geology would always be nice for a mad geologist. The best mad scientists were the ones that excelled at everything in school but who's classmates found them just a tad... odd. Unless, of course, you want to go with the type that got kicked out of school for doing bizarre experiments with sedimentary stones.

apparently...
so how's it going, arl? other than college, since we're discussing that in another thread.
