>>but did anyone else know that former Blue Peter presenter Stuart Miles is currently a cross-dressing comedian called Annette Curtain?<<
Really? I did always think he might bat for our side but I was never sure so in the interests of libel I never put him
I'm amazed no-one (including me) has put Simon Hughes, the Lib Dem MP

So Mort, are you giving away the smut yourself? Or do we have to get it from a shop or collect tokens or summat?

No you won't - I found two more!
Sir Derek Jacobi (actor most famous for 'I, Claudius' and the Cadfael stories)
Hans Werner Henze (composer)
Anthony Perkins (Norman Bates in the 'Psycho' films)
Now I'd suspected for a while that Sir Derek was gay, but I found out on Wikipedia that he recently 'married' his long-term b/f, so that's fairly conclusive.
Herr Henze is 80 years old this year and has been openly gay for most of his life, although his homophobic, Nazi-sympathising father did once say to him that 'people like you belong in concentration camps'.
And the late Anthony Perkins - he married in his 40s and had a couple of kids but he'd had several gay relationships (including a 12-year one with the actor Tab Hunter) ... he contracted HIV and later AIDS (but fortunately didn't pass them onto his wife and children) and died in 1992. Cruelly though, his wife was one of the passengers on American Airlines Flight 11, which was flown into the north tower of the World Trade Center on September 11th.

That bloke from Savage Garden recently came out - he's got hitched.

Oh, Darren Hayes? He's already on the list - sorry - although I had no idea he'd got 'married' or civilly partnered or whatever you call it.

Errr ... if Bert and Ernie ever were outed, they were soon put back in the closet by the broadcasters of Sesame Street (I vaguely remember seeing something about how they were worried about it, so they said they were 'just good friends' or somesuch).
Peppermint Patty, Marcie? Wishful thinking, I'm afraid - I know Marcie resembles Billie Jean King (and she was a close personal friend of Charles Schultz), but according to Wikipedia there was never any mention of a lesbian relationship between them in the Peanuts strip cartoons ... in fact, they both had crushes on various boys. (Although shows like Family Guy have inferred they were lesbian lovers ... )

Neither paring were in a gay/lesbian relationship, it's just that they seem, at a glance, to both be such. Bert and Ernie were never meant to be gay, they were more like sesame street's version of the odd couple. They were meant to show how two very different people could be great friends.
