I was doing a random web crawl and came across a very interesting vigilante group from the 70's called "The Lavender Panthers". Has anybody here heard of them?

I've heard about them and I remember reading about them while writing my dissertation. I think it was in WJ Blumenfeld's Homophobia book - quite old now but a brilliant book all the same.
The American version of Queer As Folk had a version of them.
