Hey Danielle!

Would you rather learn some grammar, or some vocabulary, or some phrases? Or do you need help in translating Rammstein lyrics?
I can’t promise that I will be around much in future… but I’ll do my best to resume teaching German (at least now and then smiley - biggrin).
Maybe you could start by flicking through what’s already been explained in this thread. With the given information you can try to form sentences and I (or some other teacher?) will correct them. By the by, where have all the teachers gone? Not to mention that most of the students have vanished…

I think some more vocabulary would be good... If I wanna translation of Rammstein lyrics I can just go look it up somewhere, or at least I would if my internet wasn't evil. Anyway... I am fairly sure I know all the stuff you have taight already, I have read over all of it and none of it seemed confusing or anything. 'Sall good.

And yeah... where is everyone?

Yay! The thread is alive again... Anyway...

Meine Augen sind blau und braun.
My eyes are blue and brown.

Well, actually, the left one is fully blue, but the right one has a weird browny streak in it for no real reason... although sometimes the blue looks green... my eyes are confusing.

Meine Harre sind schwarz. Ich mag meine Harre.
My hair is black. I like my hair.

That’s the problem, Katkat: I have no idea how to say „our chins“ in German! smiley - erm

Instead of saying: “Our chins hurt.”

...reword it: “Everyone’s chin hurts.”

“Jedem schmerzt das Kinn.”

I just talked to my mother and she claims that it’s possible to form a plural of „die Stirn”: “die Stirnen”
I think it sounds wrong or at least very posh. smiley - erm

Danielle, that was very good. No mistakes! smiley - ok

“Die Faustregel” is the translation for “rule of thumb”. smiley - ok

sore throat – die Halsschmerzen (you mixed up the words “Hals” and “Schulter”)

When you want to say “She reads my palm” you’d say “Sie liest in meiner Hand” in German.

Katkat always comes up with the weirdest examples, really! smiley - jester
