The Celery Project
Garius Lupus Posted Jul 4, 2000
I just left a general message at the H2G2 Space Centre asking for support, since The Celery came from there. I also posted a message to Alien's home page to ask her for official endorsment from the Space Centre. She is away at the moment, though.
Other creations for support? There is S.T.U.M.P.E.D. the organization for super villians, that is run by Affy, but I don't know if that is a good organization to have on board. On the other hand, it could be useful ...
Affy and I are also members of C.H.O.P.P.E.R.S., the organization for super heroes. Maybe we could get both organizations to support the campaign.
There is also Damogran, but it is quiescent at the moment due to a long absence by Queen BluDragon.
How about Marv and his church?

Redbeard (Thanks to all who supported The Celery!)) Posted Jul 4, 2000
Oh yeah! Let's get Marv to support us! That would be a real coup. Especially since he's running for President also!
FYI, here are the candidates to date:
Marv the Grate - Gw7en
Demon Drawer - Joanna
Peregrin - Bluebottle
The Cheese - Korn-Ball
Don Alfredo - Don Vito
Eomando - Captain Al Boy
The Celery - Ms Dolores A. Webjello

Hey, GL...
Do you think CHOPPERS or STUMPED might be interested in providing a Secret Service agent or two to protect our candidates during the campaign? We might even offer them the promise of the position of Head of the Secret Service if Celery is elected...
Makes me wonder what else we could do that way. I'd love to have the endorsement of Almighty God. Do you think he'd be interested in a cabinet position?
The Celery Project
Garius Lupus Posted Jul 4, 2000
Yes, I realized my goof with Marv shortly after posting it ... D-uh.
I think STUMPED would be happy to provide a secret service guard or two. The ideal guards would be Red (Irving's alter ego) and Black (Alien's alter ego). Unfortunately, both are away at the moment. Red will be back in another few days, but I'm not sure about Alien/Black. Great idea though.
And an endorsement from God would be excellent. Who should approach him?

Afgncaap5 Posted Jul 4, 2000
Sorry, but I won't. He's a nice person, but there's something about that researcher I've never cared for. Nothing against him, it's just a feeling I get, which is a shame, because I prefer to be on good grounds with everyone.
Hey, let's make sure that the Mangar is supporting Celery! BTW, where can we get the actual links to all of these posters, pins, etc.? And I'm sure that the Krylma Leader can provide a few Gecko Warriors to help as bodyguards. Okay, make sure I don't do anything to rash . . .
*Affy melts into the form of a strange looking lizard, walking on two legs. The lizard pulls out the PDCC, pushes some buttons, and a few ninja-like warriors dressed in aqua-marine with the picture of a gecko on their shoulders step out of nowhere*
KRYLMA LEADER-These are only loners till more reliable guards come. We wouldn't want Celery to be tainted with our image until CHOPPERS has already joined in the support.
*Krylma Leader melts back into Affy*
You know, being a symbiote with the Krylma Leader is a lot easier than fighting him for control every few hours.
*Sees the Gecko Warriors*
Will these do as bodyguards until others can show up?

I just posted something to a Scandals and Rumours forum. http://www.h2g2.com/F46364?thread=61482&post=461830

GL, I discovered that God is already supporting D.D., but I went ahead and made a case for us anyway.. who knows?
Red and Black sound like good ideas for bodyguards And thanks, Affy, for the ninjas in the meantime.
I really like your buttons, Lil, and am looking forward to the new ones with Celery and Webjello on them.
Codes for the graphics on the 'Friends of Celery/Webjello 2000' page using my server:

Odradek, be careful what you say about the campaign at the cafe; DD and Joanna are regulars there and may take advantage of anything you let slip.
I don't have control over the cafe page, and Irv is meeting with Marv and Gw7en over the weekend; the best I think I can do is enforce neutrality at the cafe; if one campaign ad is displayed there, then all ought to be, seeing as 3 different campaigns are represented there, at least 3. But do you think alter-ego Red will come in with us?
I'm sorry I haven't been more active on the different pages, but I am having a godawful time moving around the site; I had another IE crash this afternoon and had to give up and go away. And right now I have to give all the bandwidth I get to the going-away party. Maybe tomorrow things will be better.

Sorry to tell you this guys. God - almighty has already endorsed my campaign.
Nice bit of organisation here though.

Redbeard (Thanks to all who supported The Celery!)) Posted Jul 4, 2000
Oh, no! We've been infiltrated! How did he find out? Where's the leak? Call in the ninjas! I didn't think anyone would ever find our secret meeting place. We even disguised it with the code name 'The Celery Project'! Ah, well we can play that game, too, ya know! Here's DD's secret campaign discussion thread: http://www.h2g2.com/F30213?thread=62353 where you can find out the dirt about his spelling problems... ;-) Can you spell 'potato', Mr. Quayle? Yeah, we already found out about God, DD. What did you have on Him? And you may have God Almighty, but we have a robot, a bird, and a cat! So there! :-P

Asteroid Lil - Offstage Presence Posted Jul 4, 2000
As Spin Doctor, I'll be careful not to mention DD's appallingly poor impulse control; had he remained in lurk mode we might have gone on using this thread to plot strategy.
So I better not mention about the extremely large sewer rat. Not here.
Any of youse guys on IM?

Yes, Lil, I have IM when I remember to turn it on.
You can probably find me with my regular email address:

l have AOL...but l have nearly everyone blocked off, as l can be rather antisocial...but if people let me know their AIM or lM names, l can un-ignore you, and decloak, Rommulan-like, to acknowledge you. Just e-mail me at [email protected]. lt's like "flowchart", backwards, except a little different.

Ferrari and Styx are also h2g2 creations who support Celery, and so does Ook because nobody else has co-opted him. Anyway, all creations in h2g2 are bound to support another h2g2 creation who will represent their interests.
Garius & Affi, do we still have 499 voting monkeys?
I was going to make more buttons this morning, but have since become involved in a big civic project...
The Celery Project
Redbeard (Thanks to all who supported The Celery!)) Posted Jul 6, 2000
Thanks, Lil. I've now added Ferrari, Ook, and Styx to the supporters page, and put ox back on (I thought I had added him, but somehow he got lost temporarily in the revisions).
Don't worry about the buttons, Lil. I'm enjoying playing around with them, and your project is very important.
