*Passing through on way to the bar, notes Lady P appears to have been left to run the entire hotel single-handed. Tuts and parks banjo behind the desk*
Would you like me to show you to your room sir?

Hi. A buddy of mine, Baryonic Being, recommended your establishment.
I'd like a roomy sort of accomodation on the ground floor, or at least away from the Plural Zone floors. Near the dock please, and preferably with reinforced floors.
I'll be staying a week or two.
And could you get someone to carry my bag of peanuts?

*hurries over from the bar*
Oh my, looks like there's no other staff around again... Yes sir, what kind of room would you like?
The Reception
FordsTowel Posted May 8, 2004
My own fault, dear. I should have rung the bell: *ding*. It works, after all.
I'd like a roomy sort of suite on the ground floor. If the ground floor isn't available, just make it a room away from the any of the Plural Zone floors.
If you have one near the dock, that would be grand, and preferably with reinforced floors.
I'll be staying a week, or two at the outside.

Right, a simple suite then? That'd be if you please... you can start a thread for your room from the Main Page, not everybody does it, it's up to you I guess.
Help with your luggage sir?
The Reception
FordsTowel Posted May 8, 2004
Well,... All I brought is this bag of legumes, but that would be great!
Do I settle up in advance, pay when I check out, by the week, or day-by-day?
Oh! And, two quick questions, my dear. If I may?
How late might I be able to order a herring sandwich from room service?
And, what time does your loading dock attendant go off duty?
Just curious, you understand, .... no particular reason for asking.
You probably get asked that ten times a day.

Well, I can't say that I do sir, I usually don't work in reception... I'm the hotel's waitress/barstaff. I suppose I'd be responsible for room service too, but nobody asked for it yet so I don't really know.
And I don't think we have a loading dock whatchamacallit... but you'll have to ask Ms. Footbacon, she's the manager.
*picks up bag of legumes* Would you like to start a thread for your room on the Main Page then sir? Should I do this for you?
The Reception
FordsTowel Posted May 8, 2004
Aaah, .....
Feel free to start the thread as you usher me to my room. And thank you, ever so, for asking.
Have you worked here long?
The Reception

Very well sir, here's your key: F1767053?thread=418829.
I got here a couple of weeks ago, not long after the place opened, and have been working here since. Usually I'm not at reception, I'm either working at the bar or at the restaurant, or both sometimes... but nobody else is around today so I'm multi-tasking it.

Hi, I noticed you seem to be lacking any kind of maintenance personal. I would like to apply for the position. I have experience with electrical, plumbing and tinkering with random gadgets until they work. I wouldn't need payment except for a room - preferably in the basement if there is one, or on the first/second floor near a exit or staircase with DSL-cable internet access (if there isn't internet access I can wire it in myself). I would be available at the hotel for about three days out of the week and if I'm not there, any message left at my home should reach me within two days.

Oh yeah, I have a tendency to work odd hours due to my being from the east coast of the US.

Baconlefeets Posted May 10, 2004
hmmm, well, I've not noticed that we've had any electrical or plumbing problems Though the sea creatures feeding on the copper pipes are a bit* worrying...
Have you had any experience working in a hotel before?
The Reception
ShadeTheif Posted May 10, 2004
*Shade finishes writing note, decides it unlikely anyone will be back within time for him to reply in person, adds to note - "Please reply with message at U609417."*

ShadeTheif Posted May 10, 2004
You surprised me there! I didn't see anyone. No I don't have any past hotel experience but I am well experienced in my field.
The Reception
Baconlefeets Posted May 10, 2004
I was just about to log off when i saw you message
Well, I didn't have any experience in Hotel Managering before this opened either
So, do you think the HHH is in need of repair?
The Reception
ShadeTheif Posted May 10, 2004
Well, I don't mean to offend, but just looking around you do seem to have a few problems.

Baconlefeets Posted May 10, 2004
Like the mollusks? The water in the pool is supposed to be that colour too! It's a newskin dye that we're trying out....
