*meanwhile, a smaller bot has rolled out of what was once a computer lab, up to the vacuum, and attempts to take it from the Feisty Maid*

I do hope Matina will make some to go with the mboutgases that, I hope, she is baking.

You ok, Red Dog?

*Walks over to Red Dog, with his hands over his ears and a pained look on his face. Picks up the clamshell container of herbs, closes it and reads the label on top.*

*Notices that the container is now glowing slightly. Idly puts it back in the fridge.*

*Puts her arms down.*

Whew! That was close. Don't nobody mess with Matina.

I wonder of Chloe is still around.

*Flustered*

Oh! Why, thank you! That's very...*resists the tug on the vacuum*...kind...*yanks back on the vacuum*...of you...*turns and glares at the robot*

WILL YOU LET GO OF MY VACUUM!

It's Chloe -- it must be Chloe! She's a cleaning bot, and the conditions here must be driving her crazy.

Garius, can you see what the setting is on Matina's snowzar? How long is Red Dog going to take to thaw?

fresh baked anything would be wonderful, just now. I got dust in my mouth when the Ape pulled me out of harm's way.

*to Affi and Garius* You guys build pretty durable robots! *thinks* I think we should keep an eye out for that cleaningbot from the Aroma Cafe, though...

I feel a bit like a Caer

Sort is a CLI bot, too. I wonder what has become of him. He was free to come and go between hootoo island and the space station. I suppose it is possible he might be around.

Unless the gardener bot is still working too, we're just likely to get freshly baked dust. I doubt that Matina has any fresh ingredients. Look, even Chloe is dusty - she's almost opaque.

*wraps Red Dog in a spare space blanket*

*Uncovers ears when he sees Lil talking to him. Glances over at Matina's snowzar*

Ah, it's only set at 5 minutes. Red Dog should thaw shortly. Hmmmmm. I wonder if being frozen for 5 minutes helps with the hangover.

*Looks at Lil with raised eyebrows*

A cleaning bot? Well, I'm sure a bot could never do as good a job as a highly trained maid such as myself, but this place could use all the help it can get. I never thought I would see a worse mess than where I just came from, but this place takes the cake.

*Relinquishes the vacuum to Chloe and pulls out a feather duster. Dusts Chloe.*


At least there's no horses or drunks or chainsaws here.

*Chloe immediately begins running the vacuum, first in ever widening circles and then in between the group members. She isn't nearly so visible since the feisty maid dusted her off, and she glows brightly whenever she comes within range of Garius*

*Matina meanwhile pushes the red dogsicle out of the kitchen, opens the fridge door, opens the crisper drawer, and begins pulling out flour, milk, sourdough, sugar, baking chocolate, a pound of coffee, and many other fresh comestibles*

*the kitchen is spotless*

*after making coffee and tea (using bottled New Zealand water), Matina begins preparing a meal*
