We are all saying it is outdoors.....
What if it isn't???
Has this been recorded using a hydrophone?
I will jump in now and suggest that is the sound of Electric Fish at work.....
As elecrticity has been mentioned!

Quick recap:
Not… A model airplane flying. a swarm of bees . Nepalese goat horns. Alphorn. Pipe organ. Glottal click. Sound of the universe. Didgeridoo Swarm mentality.
Maybe…. Outdoors. Glottal click part of the 'object'. An instrument.
Definite. Within audible range. Generates electricity. Man-made. Probably won't fit in a bedroom.
Any clues I've missed?

I have a feeling my 1968 Encyclopedia would have nothing to say about this item. It was invented long after that.

He did not say it generates electricity he said it had an edge.
QI - "Perfection lay within, or I am already here?"
shagbark Posted Feb 18, 2011
his exact words were
Maybe not generate electricity - but it might have a practical edge to it

Here goes! Another coming.
A wind-tunnel?
Fits with the wind sound, modulating tones. Won't fit in a bedroom. Although the 'instrument' doesn't fit, or 'generates electricity'.

It needn't necessarily be huge.
>>t probably wouldn't fit in your bedroom.<< doesn't mean it couldn't. Unless the implication is that it could be a bedroom the size of Cardington Airship hangers!!!

something with the same name would be in a 1968 encyclopedia.
(it just wouldn't sound the same)
