Somehow I don't think this one will escape the .
Listening to it through headphones, it definitely sounds like some form of instrument. An Alphorn?

I'm intrigued by the two double-clicks, like a glottal stop. Is that intrinsic to the clue, or extraneous noise?

Not an aelian pipe? You know. One of those instruments that uses the flow of air to make the sound, hence the extraneous sound of wind in the recording.

*takes another listen*
Hmmm I can kind of hear that.
Is it intrinsic to the clue - in a manner which will give it away? - then no. Is it an intrinsic to what is making the noise presumably yes.
Is it extraneous? I think not. I've listened to several recordings as I researched this and they all to me sound very similar.
There very little actual 'puzzle' to unravel here, it's really just a very odd sound that belongs to something quite interesting, I thought you'd all enjoy the novelty of trying to work out what it might be.

It's not a pipe organ of any description.

But not ?
Btw, is the title "Perfection lay within, or I am already here?" or "Perfection lay within, or am I already here?"

The Universe?
Is the quote from the same source as 'the universe in a nutshell'?

I know I have a dyslexic keyboard and I do try to eliminate errors in my posts (often unsuccessfully) but the title clue is as intended.

I'll leave interstellar noise alone, Pedro just picked up the "it cam from outer space" klaxon.
I am intrigued however, how does the title clue relate to interstellar space?

If the title is as intended, that it sound like a title. I mean, as in, "The Hobbit, or There and Back Again".

I say that because all vibrate, and produce their own resonating fingerprint. I also notice there is a distinct harmonic towards the end of the recording, which has me intrigued.
Can't believe it's not an instrument though.
